I took ATMA to join this college. I had short listed few colleges before joining Asian School of Business Management (ASBM) like Symbian in Hyderabad, Global Institute of Mgmt, BBSR. They had one GD round then one personal round on interview process.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course was divided into term wise like in IIMs. In a year there wil be 3 terms and each term is again divided into 2 (mid term and end term). In 1st year you'll have standard management programme and in 2nd year you have 2 electives out of Finance, HR, Marketing and Logistics & Operation.
Internships Opportunities
There were a lot of companies came for internship. Like State Bank of India, HDFC, BMA Wealth Creators, Gati, ITC to name a few. I had internship in BMA Wealth Creator and there was anything on stipend.
Placement Experience
Most of the placement companies came for marketing. Although almost all students are placed but not at their desired profile. The highest package was offered was around Rs 4 lakh.
College Events
In ASBM we had enough cultural and management programmes.In every month or two we had seminars from corporate citizens and some renowned people like Ex President Mrs Pratibha Patil, CM of Odisha Mr Naveen Patnaik etc. In cultural programme in a year 2-3 events we had where students from other colleges participate in large.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When I joined the fee was around Rs 6 lakh for 2011 - 13 batch. Which includes course fees, study materials, hostel, food, seminars and also exams. You can also avail educational loan.
Fees and Financial Aid
For PGDM programme in ASBM they had scholarship for the students who have studied BBA programme in ASBM. And loan facility available for ASBM. I myself had loan for PGDM programme.
Campus Life
I really enjoyed campus life in ASBM, it is one of those moments which I'll cherish for the years to come. The gender ratio was I think 70 - 30 (m - f). We had enough parties ih hostel like Birthday functions, Diwali, Holi, New Year, picnics.There was no racism in ASBM.
Exam Structure
In ASBM we had 6 examination in a year including quiz, presentation, report writing. Saturday was half day and Sunday was holiday. Since it was a fully residential college there wasn't any stress in the sense of exam.
Faculty
Our director was a former IIM faculty. Few other professors as well. Most professors are qualified doctorate from very reputed institutions. We had also some faculties who had good experience in industry and corporate.
