Entrance Preview
I took CAT and scored 98.4 percentile. I had chosen only a few colleges to get into including all 6 IIMs, MDI and IMTG. I did not get through IIMs and chose IMTG over MDI because of the beautiful campus and placement records in past few years.
Internships Opportunities
Fantastic experience with internship. IMTG has good rapport in the industry which helps in getting good internship offers in the market. Also, some of the companies offer PPOs during intership to the students for final job offers.Generally, stipend varies between 15k - 50k with an average of 25k.
Placement Experience
IMTG has a good placement record over the past. The details can be found out on the campus website. That is one of the major reasons why IMTG is considered in top league B-Schools in India.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Earlier, before 2008, it used be feasible fee structure with max. 4.5 lacs for the course. After 2008, the fee structure shooted up for almost all B-schools to around 10lacs +. So, I guess it is usually expensive for all B-schools including IMTG.
Fees and Financial Aid
During our time, 2009, SBI had a tie-up with IMTG to offer loan to students. The other banks later might have also joined hands with IMTG to provide scholar loans.
Campus Life
It's a fantastic B-school and provides a great learning experience by being in this campus. You get to learn about everything - from discipline to management to culture to business to industry knowledge and sports. There are so many things happening every now and then where students participate to gain knowledge as well as make themselves represent college in the inter-college competitions.
Alumni/Alumna
We have a great Alumni network and thanks to Alumni Relations Committee who takes a very active role in conducting Alumni meets almost every year which helps connect with our colleagues / seniors / juniors from various batches. And it really feels good when we reunite after years and share the laughter and jokes together to relive those moments for sometime together.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is quite comfortable for students. In the last 2-3 semesters it may be a little hectic with 2 exams on the same day however, generally it is OK for students to have good time to study.
Faculty
IMTG has always been a good institute and has good standards in terms of Faculty with a bunch of very qualified and experienced Faculty. There are many professors with more than 15-20 yrs of experience which definitely helps students in getting good pedagogy.
