Remarks

Overall, the journey here is amazing. The college is 24 into 7 under the CCTV surveillance for better security of all of the girls. Overall, a good learning experience for me. The college also focuses on gaining more knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum in the college is followed strictly. They are maintained in every department of the college. Exam is also conducted for every semester. There are also model and monthly exams conducted before the final semester exam.

Placement Experience

4.5

About 130 students are available in our course, and all the students come from various places. It is necessary that students have greater than 75% attendance. The college does offer internship for students in our course. Scholarships are also available.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee of the college is very much feasible every student can afford to pay the fees in this college. Each department does not vary its fees from other. The student in every department are asked to pay the fee at the start of every year.

Campus Life

4

Wi-Fi facility is available, there is also labs like geography lab, computer lab and science lab. Classroom facilities are awesome, and there is a huge library. Hostel facility was average, and the quality of the food served in the mess is very good. There is a canteen and also available medical facilities. The college organizes sports and games each year.

Admission

Admission to the BA courses in the Malda Womens College is done on the merit basis of marks obtained at 10 + 2 level. Application process generally starts in month of May every year. Shortlisted candidates are called for counselling, followed by admission. Classes commence in early July.

Faculty

4

All the teachers were good, helpful, and every teacher was highly educated, and their way of teaching is also good. They help students in their studies and also personal problems. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it doesn't make students industry-ready as they only learn whatever teachers teach.

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Bhawanipur Global Campus (formerly NSHM Knowledge Campus), Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Media Science)
Reviewed on Dec 17, 2024(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.
