Remarks

The college was very good in almost all aspects be it in terms of knowledge gaining, campus life and individual growth. There is a right mix of students along with very able faculty and lab facilities. The college administration always made sure that each and every student's demand is taken care of .

Entrance Preview

IITJEE & AIEEE. I scored 6621 AIR In AIEEE 2011 and was always interested in Civil Engineering at NITW.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was very helpful in every aspect possible. The course curriculum was perfectly set to make us comfortable in all the practical aspects of civil engineering.

Internships Opportunities

Generally, as such for civil engineering, no companies offer any internship at NITW. But our professors do encourage us do some research during vacations at college facility.

Placement Experience

4.5

I don't know the exact numbers but all the students who applied for the interview process had been placed. Companies like Schlumberger (CTC 34lpa), L&T (CTC 5.4 lpa), Coal Indai Ltd (9.75 lpa), Alstom (5.2 lpa), Shapoorji & Paloonji (4.2 lpa), etc visited the campus.

College Events

4

The college celebrates two fests every year Technozion ( Technical) and Springspree ( cultural). Technozion is the 2nd largest technical festival in south India. Our college also has a management festival Cura every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For the academic year 2011-15, the academic fees was Rs 35000 per year (2 semesters) and the remaining expenses were around Rs 40000 per year (depends on mess bill). So the total fees used to be nearby Rs 75,000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I availed merit scholarship continuously for all four years of my civil engineering. In this, after the end of each academic year. The academic fees of Rs 35,000 was refunded to me. There are other scholarships like like Epass, Student Aid Fund, etc.

Campus Life

5

The girls formed around 20-25% of the total population. The college also had foreign nationals from Africa, Nepal, Bhutan and Afghanistan through Direct Admission to Students Abroad (DASA).There are many student activities and clubs are also there which conducts events throughout the year and these events are being monitored by Students Activities Centre (SAC). The most happening event of the college is fashion week which the final year students celebrate in the last week of academic year.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a strong alumni network and they remain connected with the students via NITW Alumni Student Board (ASB) which is a complete NITW students' body and they conduct regular Alumni guest lectures and also help in obtaining scholarship for foreign interns.

Exam Structure

The college was very particular about labs and exams. But particularly the lab sessions were very hectic and helpful though. The exam structure was comfortable and very competitive.

Faculty

4

The faculty was very intellectual, co-operative and had the right attitude towards teaching. The faculty was very sound technically and was able to clear all the doubts. They were also willing to meet the students even outside the class and help in every aspect possible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

I feel the course is relevant because we are not just studying theory all the time. Along with regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects and problem solving which actually feels useful. It feels like the course is designed to help us build skills that we will need later not just clear semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before joining I thought it would be like any other engineering college where we just study for exams. But after coming here, I felt it's a bit different. We do have theory classes, but there are also coding sessions, projects and assignments almost every week. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but I think it's actually helping us learn better. The syllabus feels relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course has been a nice mix of theory and practical work. We don't just sit through lectures all day there are coding sessions, projects, assignments, and hands on activities that make the subjects easier to understand. It feels like you are learning skills that you'll use later. One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments or small projects. That change keeps things interesting.

Placement Experience:

I think IN-campus Placements are the best thing that this college may offer. This is one of the top college in Telangana so almost every top company gives a chance to this college companies like Cisco, Insfosys, TCS, Cognizent, Accenture and many more. The highest package is 34LPA last year 2024, and the average is 7LPA i think.I think almost 60 to 70 percentage of people get place in the companies.I plan to get place in the top most comnmpany in the Telanagana after getting degree.
