The college has brilliant atmosphere for interpersonal development. But college can improve in quality of students produced academically. The exam pattern with a bit of reform can do wonders.
Entrance Preview
IITJEE, VITEE, AIEEE, COMEDK, KIITEE. Scored around 5000 in kitee and got into kiit. Selected this particular institution because I got a preferred branch in the best possible reputed college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is structured well with due importance given to theoretical and practical study. Carefully, credits has been distributed equally over each semester. All kinds of subjects required for completion of course has been covered.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship on my own accord, it is the usual case.only a very handful get a quality internship rest are just for the namesake. College brings companies for internship only in final year. Which should change.Though there is e-summit organised for the student entrepreneurship cell which brings in startups paying stipend upto 15 K.
Placement Experience
Institution has been successful providing placement to 75-80% of the eligible students by now. The no. Of companies coming in is decent. The average salary has been around rs.3.25 lpa. Majority of the placements being in mass recruitment in companies like wipro, accenture, cognizant.
College Events
Since being an university, different schools have their different fests and one major kiit fest. Other big events being UDGHOSH. One of the Biggest quiz of country and KIIT MUN, biggest MUN in country.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible, just on the brink of being expensive. Rs. 55, 000 is tuition fees for each semester. And total expense payable to college including fooding and lodging swells to rs. 10 lakhs for a period of 4 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides a mere sum to branch toppers at the end of the year. Nothing much regarding this. The top 10 each branch gets a sum of rs. 10, 000 at the end of each course year.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a dedicated group, a society named k-connect registered in kiit student activity centre to keep connected with alumuni. There are also alumuni meet organised in various cities each year including Mumbai, hyderabad, bangalore. Etc
Exam Structure
Exams in each semester has divided into two parts. One being the mid semester another the final end semester. With occasional quizzes in class.
Faculty
Faculty of college have extremely good qualifications. Professors with teaching experience are generally good but many of the new faculty coming are not able give their best yet.
