Course Curriculum Overview
Our college gets its degree from University of Mysore. From dealing with the basics to giving us experience in business, the course was a complete package. They made sure we were learning business in terms of the recent market trends and included business models that were appropriate for both Indian and international markets. The course was not that hectic but it wasn't all chilled either.
Placement Experience
Our department had many companies which recruited students, these companies came from many sectors like the finance, banking, marketing sectors. The placement cell in our college needs to improve. Despite that many of the students found their own work, some used the college resources as they were all ready to help.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My course fees was undoubtedly feasible comparing to many other college. For the total course of 3 years i paid 33,700 rupees. Of course that is without counting the additional fees related to examinations and admissions. Despite that the fees was budgeted considering the course and its advancement.
Campus Life
The clubs were organised department wise which students could join in. Some of those clubs were Kannada Sangha, Psychology Association, Journalism Club, Economics forum, English association and many others. These clubs conducted competitions, activites, workshops and set up seminars. They also set up personality development programmes all in the hopes of developing your self expression. The college also had NSS and NCC which conducted many other activities.
Hostel Facilities
Our college's hostel set up was quite organised. We have 8 blocks with 6 rooms each and total of 48 rooms. Each block had two shared bathrooms which were cleaned everyday. I stayed at the ladies hostel which had well-equipped rooms, a kitchen, a dining hall and a library. I truly enjoy my hostel experience in Maharaja's college.
Admission
My admission to Maharaja's was fairly simple. I wanted to join my father's business so i was always planning to study bba. I applied with 89 percent marks in my 12th. Few weeks later i got the confirmation that i got in.
Faculty
Our professors were all very welcoming and extremely qualified. They each had their own method of teaching us and most of them were available to be contacted via email or in person. Teachers in my department are very dedicated and considerate.
