Remarks

I am glad that i have choose one of the best institutions in Tamilnadu. It is ranked 10th NIRF 2020 by the government of India. I preferred this college as it the best college for women in Coimbatore. This college provide good education with discipline. To reach out PSGR KRISHNAMMAL COLLEGE FOR WOMEN you can go to the website www.psgrkcw.ac.in

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose bachelor of English literature since i love this subject from my childhood and have profound interest in English. There sufficient teachers available to guide us every aspect they are very friendly and helpful. weekly assessments are conducted to get deep knowledge on the subject which is very helpful to attend the final semester exams

Class Size: 55555Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships are off the campus. I have completed my internship in a local TV channel which offered me a salary of 6000. final year project is compulsory for everyone it changes according to our major. In literature we have to present a paper on a book.

Placement Experience

4.5

Final year students are eligible for campus placements. So many best known companies like cts ,ifosys, amazon and many other companies select students from our college. around 80% of the students are getting placed every year. My future plan is to do masters in literature in psgrkcw as I love this campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

fees are collected as the governments norms. It is one of the few colleges which abide the rules and regulations of the government strictly.

Campus Life

PSGRKCW campus is an eco-friendly campus very clean and tidy. I love the college there are so many inter cultural competitions especially Karishma is the best one apart from this so intra college competitions are also conducted. Equal importance is given to studies and extra curricular activities. There are many clubs including e-cell, YRC, Eco watch, Ncc and what not.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is no ragging in and out of the hostel. Ragging is strictly prohibited in psgrkcw instead seniors are very friendly who are our next mentors beside our tutors. Hostel rooms are very spacious and cleaned regularly. Food are awesome which is like our own home. Medical facilities are available for 24*7.MJonthly the rent of the room is 3000.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Interview Experience

Admissions was based on the mark obtained in higher secondary. There are few questions asked to check the knowledge in the subject that we have opted for.

Faculty & Academic Excellence

Likes

The faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The campus is clean, well-maintained, and has good infrastructure.
The college encourages participation in cultural events and skill development activities.

Dislikes

Placement opportunities could be improved by inviting more companies.
More practical sessions and industry exposure would benefit students.
The college can organize more technical and cultural events.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects. It provides a strong foundation for higher studies and career opportunities. Internal assessments and semester exams are conducted regularly, with a fair marking system. More industry exposure, internships, and skill-based training would further enhance students' learning experience.

My sweet college days!!

Likes

College environment was very neat and clean always.
The birds they kept at the front side campus were so pleasant and calm
Campus was large in size and comfortable

Dislikes

College management is very strict in handling students
College management allot less money as prize money for academic winners
Students should get pass even for 2 minutes late entry

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Likes

The gender ratio is fairly close to 1:1 and it provides a proper environment for all to collaborate and interact.
Most of the faculty members are reachable.
Students usually get free by 4PM and have the remainder of the day to explore their own things.

Dislikes

More academics oriented - no room for placements on campus as such.
Unable to choose electives - have to do whatever course is available.
Infrastructurally very basic - lacks a lot of facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.
