FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The total tuition fees for 1 year is 15,000 and an admission fees of 3000 is to be paid at the start of the semester. Other charges of 17,450 include library fee, club membership fee, exam fee, sport fee, etc. The total for 5 years is around 2 Lakhs. For my point of view, the fees is quite nominal because the college offers various degree courses in health sciences and homeopathy.
PLACEMENT WING
The job roles that were offered to students were pharmacist, public health specialist, private practitioner etc and the employment areas include dispensaries, homeopathic medicine pharmacies/stores, research institutes, hospitals, private consultancies, life science industry, health care community etc. The average annual package which was offered was around 5 LPA. A classmate of mine grabbed an annual package of 15 LPA for the role of Private Practitioner because he was somewhat experienced in this field. Internships in pharmaceuticals industries, NGO's, medical colleges and training institutes were also offered to the students where the average stipend ranges from 10,000 to 15,000.
ADMISSION
The student need to have pass class 12th with 5 subjects that is physics, chemistry, biology and English. He/She should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th and 45% for the students belonging to the reserved category. The student need to qualify the entrance exam called NEET-UG which is conducted by the national testing agency. Based on the scores, a merit list will be prepared and you will be called for a counselling session if you are lucky enough to clear the cut off. There after you will be granted admission in the college.
FACULTY
The teachers are very knowledgeable and they have a unique set of skills to clear the doubt of the students and explain the complex ideas very easily using the logical reasoning to identify the strength and weaknesses of different solutions. The guest faculty also covers topics such as biochemistry, human anatomy, physiology, community medicine so that the students efficiently learn and later become a part of multidisciplinary health care system.
CAMPUS LIFE
The sports activities such as football, swimming, basketball, table tennis, kabaddi are held at the college campus from time to time. Annual fest is also organised in our college where a platform is provided to students to showcase their talent in the field of singing, dancing, debate competition, pottery making, face painting, sculpture, English drama etc. Various workshop and conferences on topic like homeopathic medicine and its uses are also held every month so that the students can gain enough knowledge from these kind of sessions.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The duration of the course is 5.5 years in which 1 year of a compulsory rotational internship has to be done by each students. We are given advocate prominence in the theoretical part of learning Homeopathic medication system and learning with the practical sessions conducted by the college. The subjects include Homeopathic pharmacy, forensic toxicology and medicine, microbiology including parasiteology and virology, surgery including eye, dental, ENT and homeo therapeutics, the practice of medicine and biochemistry etc.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
Students who belong to the economically weaker sections are granted a fair amount of fee concession by the college administration. Merit cum scholarships are also awarded to students who have a good rank and score in the NEET-UG examinations. University/College merit scholarships are offered to those students who secure 9/10 CGPA in the college exams.
