Remarks

In my opinion, getting a degree and college education has been a wonderful experience. I've learnt a lot in the 4-years of designated curriculum, and got placed at one of the finest companies that visits the campus for recruitment - Infosys Technologies. To sum up, Lingaya's University of Management & Technology (now Lingaya's University) is definitely a good option to pursue Bachelors in the field of Engineering.

Entrance Preview

The entrance examination I took was AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination). The reason I chose this college was mainly because of the following 3 reasons:1. Location: Being located in Faridabad, it was easy to travel up and down to college (through College Bus service) than too take up hostel accommodation. I wasn't willing to relocate to another location to pursue my education. 2. Placements: This college has/is well-known for their placement guarantee. At the time of taking admission, this was the best possible option in Faridabad with best placement history. 3. Good Reputation: The campus has always been known for its quality of education, ranging from multiple subject choices to well-renowned faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The entire 4-year B.TECH course was divided into 8 semesters :1. Semester 1 & 2 - Generic Semesters with subjects across all engineering domains such as Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Mathematics, Communicative English, Manufacturing Practices, Machinery, Physics, Chemistry and others.2. Semester 3 to 8 - Based on the specialization opted (eg. Computer Science& Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil etc. Each semester (except 7 & 8) typically includes 8-9 subjects per semester. The final 2 semesters (7 &8) have comparatively lesser number of subjects owing to final year Live Project.

Internships Opportunities

As a part of the B.TECH Course, students are not expected to attend any internship but a Summer Training, which is not in-house but based on corporate experience. It could be working in a firm for 7-8 weeks, conducting a project, followed by report submission and project presentation.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement cell at Lingaya's is highly effective. The college has tie-ups with major brands such as Infosys (Day 1 Company), Syntel, Tech Mahindra, L&T, Capital IQ and other worthy names. The placement cell also helps students to prepare in advance for all sorts of interviews, group discussions and aptitude examinations which form a part of the selection process, through workshops and trainings.

College Events

4

The college had events occurring round the academic year : 1. Annual Fest - a 3-day celebration that happens in February every year. Students from all domains and branches conduct and participate in the events. DJ and Star Nights form a major attraction, with students participating from all top-notch colleges in Delhi and NCR region. 2. Tech Fest - a purely technology based competition that happens sometime in October. 3. Sports Events 4. Programming Competitions 5. Workshops & Seminars on latest developments in the field of Technology (on a semester basis).

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is as follows : 1. Semester Examination Fee: Rs. 35,000 (approx.)The semester fee comprises of the academic fees, professional development fees, lab and practical fees, and other tuition fees. 2. Transportation Fee: Rs. 10,000 (per semester)This includes the College Bus service, that comes on all days for the pick-up and drop across several destination points in all nearby areas such as Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad & Gurgaon.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no knowledge of the loans/scholarship programs offered by the college management. Apart from the regular AIEEE-based admissions, the campus does have a certain section of seats reserved for the following categories: 1. Management Quota Seats 2. Seats reserved from J&K Immigrants 3. Others.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is good. The students range from different regions, cultures, religion, race, cast and gender preferences. The campus has a well-built and well-maintained infrastructures ranging from 4-5 separate blocks, each equipped with the following: 1. Class Rooms 2. Tut (Tuition/Extra class) Rooms 3. Faculty Rooms/Compartments 4. Domain-specific Laboratories 5. Student Clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I did not use the Hostel Facility since I was a day-scholar. But friends of mine used the Hostel and said it was satisfactory. The food outlets at the campus were fairly good - Nescafe Outlet, Several Tuck Shops etc. Additionally, the campus as Vodafone Store, 2 Book Shops, Beauty Parlour, Photocopy Shops etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has its own network of alumni called C.O.O.L, which is a short name for Confederation of Old Limatians. This network has an extensive network of all the ex-students now working with major corporates. These alumni are invited for the annual fest, and an annual alumni meeting involving sports activities followed by lunch.

Exam Structure

The exam structure for each semester is as follows: 1. Internals:a) Sessional 1 - 20 marks test conducted typically after 2 months of the semester.b) Sessional 2 - 60 marks internal exam that typically covers 90-95% of the entire syllabus of the subject. 2. Externals: A 100-marks subjective examination that covers the entire syllabus, conducted by the affiliated university MDU, Rohtak.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is well-versed with the subject matter. They are very approachable in terms of extra tuitions, doubt-solving sessions and sharing of best practices on how to crack the university examinations.

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.
