Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure for b.tech ECE is basically a introductory course for students in electrical engineering where a series of core subjects such as signal & systems, data structures, analog communication, digital electronics, network analysis & synthesis, computer hardware designs, semi conductor circuits and devices, waves & fields etc. The duration of the course is four years divided into eight semesters.
Placement Experience
The areas of service include Software industries, Power sector, Chip design industry, Indian telephone industry, Civil Aviation Department, Indian Railways etc. The average salary rangers from 3 to 6 lpa. Companies such as CISCO, TATA, PHILLIPS and TOSHIBA visited our campus to provide summer internships to students with a minimum stipend of 8,000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees for one year is 40,000 which remains the same for the other three years. Admission fees of 1000 needs to be deposited at the start of the semester. Other charges amounts to 10,000 and the total for four years is 1.71 Lakhs which for me is very nominal.
Campus Life
Sports tournaments on activities such as football, chess, basketball, badminton, volleyball, athletics etc are held every even semester. Seminars on Anteena & wave propagation, basics of industrial sociology, electronics measurements are held every two weeks. National festivals and cultural activities such as singing, dancing, drama, painting etc are also held at our college.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides well furnished hostel accommodation for the boys and girls. The college has excellent mess facility and the food is provided at a very reasonable cost to suit a variety of eating food habits of students belonging to different states. Other facilities includes water coolers, internet facility, library facility inside the girls hostel, laundry facility, cafeteria etc. Wardens and resident tutors of each hostel take care of rules and regulations to be maintained by the students.
Admission
The students seeking admission in the course should have passed class 12th with 50% marks and in the Science stream. 40% marks for the reserved category students. Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics should be the compulsory subjects. Other than that you need to qualify KEAM examinations for the UG programm. It consists of 120 objective questions which needs to be done within 2.5 hours. Cut offs and closing ranks will be uploaded by the college council on their website and on the basis of which the admission process is later held.
Faculty
Teachers of the college have many years of experience in their course. The teaching methodology includes classroom sessions, laboratory works and practical programs to impart knowledge about the principles underlying in the communication & electronics system. Overall I would say that the teachers are doubt solvers and helpful in times of stress.
