As being a government college it celebrates all major government festivals irrespective of the religion. Some local festival and major festivals are celebrated grandly. Many festival celebration are followed by some dance, recreational programs and academic competitions and having other departmental activity to unit our skills related and providing international seminar . to educate our skills in international level

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees through out the one year is less than 40,000 which means 20,000 for each year including all other fees. Which is very less as compared to the reputed private institutions, as we passed in NET or SET exam that there will be other alteration to get back the lesser fee structure although being a massive college the fees is quite affordable and the arrangements (hostel and mess) is quite good but we have to pay extra money for hostel facilities. If we want some concession in fee ,

Campus Life

The college provides many co curricular activities besides academic programs. The college organizes many sports event and sports day is celebrated yearly once. Many festivals are followed by some games. The college conducts many other competitions during the department function and college days. Not only the college but also the hostel also provide some health games to unity among the students .The cultural is grandly celebrated with many recreational activities. They also arrange nss camp, yoga classes, self defense classes and organize tours for the students which acts as a adventurous as well as academic tour.

The senior students of the college are kind to the juniors, they help them out with seminars and research work. Most of the passed out students are either pursuing research in renowned institutions or working in reputed posts. They college alumni visit college once in a while to encourage and guide the students. They share their mantra and experience with the students telling their tales of hard work and determination which serves as a great motivation to the students.

Admission

The admission in this college is quite tough, as being a government college. Either we can enter through NET examination or through Integrated entrance exam of the institute. I joined this institute for my course and have done my Msc from other college. We can apply online for admission and the entrance fees is also very low, exam was conducted on a large scale through out the state and then there will be process of certificate verification. There is a lot of competition for this college as it?s one of the best Institute for agricultural studies and students all over the nation try to get into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
