Entrance Preview

I had done my FYJC and SYJC in science stream. After which I have given CET as entrance exam and score 139 out of 200 in CET. I have opted for thakur college for 3 main reason - 1. Studies is good2. Infrastructure is good3. Placement record for this college is good.

Internships Opportunities

This college does not provide internship, If you look for some internship then its a different case. It won't provide any internship. This college provide good training for various courses such as C, C++, Java etc. This training are conducted by training and placement cell of the college and they make sure each and every student is trained and they are good at what course they have elected.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement is almost 100 %. Some student don't opt for placement since they opt for some MBA Course and MS. But those who are eligible for the placement they get the placement 100 % in some or the other company. There are various IT company associated with thakur college such as - Accenture, TCS, Infosys, ICICI Security, GE, Seclore etc.

College Events

4.5

In 4 Year duration there were many indoor and outdoor activity which were celebrated. Event such as Zephyr, Sojourn, Inertia, College tech fest are celebrated during even and odd semester. Out of those festival Inertia is the sport festival where all the branch people participate and play all the games such as Football Basket ball, Cricket, Volley ball etc. Intra sport is one fest where people from other college participate. Also Sojourn and Zephyr are the cultural festival.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarship running for the people. You need to ask the internal team of the college and also you need to go through the website and get ideas regarding all the scholarship which are available. For ex. Dorabji Tata Trust is the scholarship which i came to know in 2nd Year of engineering. There are various state government and merit scholarship which are running in the college.

Exam Structure

For all the college under Mumbai University the exam structure is same. For complete 4 year there are 8 semester and there are internal exam and Vivas and also there are Term test which are twice per semester.

College campus is the most beautiful thing and is favorite among the students
College culture, the amount of events and extra curriculars offered are unbeatable.
The learning facilities are top notch, from labs to classrooms everything is great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have completed degree in Computer science with Al and analytics as specialization, considering that the course is very relevant and industry specific, there are often industry visits and mentor sessions to learn real time. The exams are conducted thrice every semester two exams are of 20 marks each and final is of 60 marks, the diffculty level is easy to moderate and it also varies student to student.

My perspective about my college!!

Likes

Such a huge campus and it is located not far from the city so bus and autos are always available.
Our canteens serves Misal Pav which is next level.
For a city like Amravati and a college like ours, having a tech fest is a dream but since 2022, we have been hosting a tech event called Techlons.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that amazing as most students are non-serious over here.

Placement Experience:

TCS trains us in the third year and L&T Infotech and TCS are the ones who hired students. Almost half the students were taken by these two companies with an annual salary of 6 lakhs or so. For a freshers to work in such companies is a privilege and I am glad, we get this opportunity at our college.

A Brief Theory Round Of Aissms College Of Engineering

Likes

The campus is quite big and there are proper laboratories for every subject , also the faculty is quite helpful and helps student to settle up and get along so that the teaching and doubt interaction is built up from the starting
We have metro station right outside the gate of college so the travelling is quite simple
It's also good to have a college stationary right inside the campus and with discount too!

Dislikes

The benches are small which kind off makes the students uncomfortable to sit for more than 2 hours in that space
Canteen hygiene is not maintained at all
There's no underground parking for students and lack of space for parking of two wheelers

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Aissms College Of Engineering in comparison to the other one institute of Information technology. I personally have even saw seniors getting placements when they were in placement round room. And looking at all the boards the college has put up and I can definitely says that the college does get placements and companies do come
