Entrance Preview

LPUNEST 013 is the entrance exam to get into this college with suitable scholarship under which EDB Early Decision Benefit means to apply for the college before June and so will get an extra fee cut off of Rs 5000 on your tuition fees is also included.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is completely qualitative an IP Instruction Plan is made which is the syllabus of the semester in which the lecture plans, textbooks, references and video lectures etc are mentioned it is is completely with reference to the AICTE syllabus.

Yes, LPU provides internship It is of two kinds full-term af few months and half term of few weeks.

There are many companies visit for placement lots of opportunities for the deserved ones and also for the outstanding candidates there is also scope of excellent packages if they fulfill certain criteria then will be given chance to sit in the top companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible because it provides scholarships which made talented students to afford the fees tuition fees is Rs. 74500 per sem and hostel Fees is 42500 and Food fees is 24500 the scholarship is only provided on tuition fees which is based on 10+2 percentage or JEE score to get an extra scholarship of Rs. 5000 per semester one need to apply in time under the scholarship called EDB.

There are various kind of scholarships are provided on the basis of merits in academics, sports or cultural activities on the basis of ur 12th percentage on the basis of ur JEE score on the basis of ur sports achievement cultural event on the basis national level achievents.

It's very beautiful campus very clean and pollution free tight security and safety s provided to the students no smoking and alcohol or non-veg is allowed into the campus if found anybody disobeying the rules the he or she will be penalized or suspended in general, boys are double than girl It's full of diversity from all over the country and all over the world, from different religions and etc.

This is a raging free campus so there is good communication between seniors and juniors seniors are very supportive and helping.

Exam Structure

Exams are very frequent but if one regular with studies will definitely enjoy the whole semester there are one mid-term exam of weightage 25% and end-term of 50% weightage CA comprises of 3 components out-of best two are selected and having the weightage

Teachers are young and dynamic they are not so qualified as you may find in IITs or NITs but have enough knowledge to meet the need of a curious student else you may enroll yourself in GATE lectures where u can find excellent faculties and they are awesom

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.

Likes

The most appreciated aspect was the quality of teaching in classroom. There were structured planning for studies and exam preparations.
The campus was peaceful and the college celebrated every cultural event very enthusiatically covering interest of students belonging from various traditional backgrounds across India.
There was wide spread interest both from students and faculty side for promoting extra cirricular activites and talent.

Dislikes

The way a student raises a complain can be improved.
To allot extra hours for extra acirricular activites.

Placement Experience:

Placements are great for tech and core domains. Alomost every students gets to sit in placement following the eligibilty critera. Many students get double placed and there is a placement policy which allows fare chances of placement to every student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
