Jai Hind College Mumbai, B.Com, Financial Markets

Reviewed on Jun 4, 2020

Remarks

Jai Hind has the best infrastructure in South Bombay along with one of the best teaching faculty. It is autonomous which means they have the authority to set the syllabus with up to date studies. Main reason for me was because the crowd in Jai Hind is the best.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I mentioned, my college is autonomous which is why my syllabus is really up to date with the changing world and is interesting to study. My department in Jai Hind gave us weekly seminars by industry experts for gaining practical insights. All my professors are well qualified and amazing professionals. My favourite is Mr. Prateek Kumar.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 23000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I interned with The Photo Diary as a social media manager. My stipend was 10,000. Getting the internship was very easy, we have a group where the college officials post messages regarding internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is an E-cell which is the entrepreneurial cell which hosts couple of events annually for budding entrepreneurs and supports them with their ventures. Placement Cell at Jai Hind is one of the best in Mumbai with large companies coming for placements.

College Events

One of the best thing about Jai Hind is it's crowd. No matter which department you're from, you're a part of the Jai Hind family. There are college festivals every other week with fun stalls and games. You can participate for any department as you like. There's different unions for performing arts, literary arts, etc. Seminars hosted by experts in the industry every week.

Campus Life

Jai Hind has a building with central air conditioning which is something really important in the humid Mumbai climate. It has state of the art classrooms which is equipped with projectors. The library at Jai hind is huge and also provides a website from where one can download the E-books.Jai Hind has free WiFi sponsored by JioFiber.Sports facilities are also there including a gym. There is also an auditorium for performances and events.

The cordination given by management of college, They were so rude all the time idk y

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature gave me insights to the history and a different pov on the situations happened Literature sharpens the thought process we can have in real world scenarios which are quite unique tbh. Its just too much of theory, if could update it and make it somehow relavent to today situation, it would be fun learning it

COLLEGE REVIEW OF IBSAR BELAPUR

Likes

The good thing about this college is affordability and how quick the admission process is.
Teachers are friendly too, there is no mandatory attendance rule and the lecs are conducted three days a week for mca students which gives them the freedom to work or switch between lecs and personal things
The feedbacks of students are taken seriously and the staff is changed accordingly. Students can freely talk to faculty about the performance of teachers and quality of education.

Dislikes

There is no campus in this college which limits student activities for events or other things.since the lecs are not conducted daily or as like other colleges , very less class count is there which affects the interactivity as well.
The quality of infrastructure is not quite good as the college is there in two floors of the building only. Campus amenities are average as well. There aren't much opportunities as such in this college like industrial level or any.
If anyone wants to experience and actually college life with the whole campus experience, events , activities or other things ,this college isn't a good fit

Placement Experience:

During the admission the students are told that in semester four , just students are eligible for campus placements and some of the companies come for a placements and even the undergraduate students are placed . The name of the companies that come for the placement include Vector ,HDFC Bank etc but in admission pamplets huge company names are provided like infosys, wipro, etc. the average packages are 300000 -500000 per year. The cgpa of students should be higher than 7. I am planning for an on campus as well as off campus placements.

Live your Dharma Dreams at Jai Hind College

I had applied for St Xavier's College Mumbai and Mithibai College Mumbai. I got into St Xavier's and decided to not go ahead with the admission because of the nature of the curriculum offered there. According to me, BMM is a practical course and requires practical knowledge and experience that Xavier's college couldn't offer. Their course is more theoretical in nature hence I choose Jai Hind over Xavier's. Also Jai Hind is much lenient in terms of rules and dress code, attendance compared to the other colleges....Read More
