Remarks

It is the top ranking college in Odisha with highest repute. Faculties are top. Oldest university. Pride of the state having golden history. What not !!! Once a student of Ravenshaw, is always a proud Ravenshawvian.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is verg structured. Faculties are quite well-versed and have command on their respective subjects. The study-atmosphere of the campus is quite good. Santosh sir was my favourite teacher. He is very sincere and takes the responsibilities of students. His enthusiasm to teach never ends.

Class Size: 360Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Many companies offer placement to BSc ITM students. Infosys, wipro, tcs, Deloitte, SAP, cognizant, capgemini, tech mahindra are the prominent recruiters. Every year out of 320 students almost 250 get placed. The package varies at 15k-25k per month. Profiles are mainly technical.

College Events

The best part of the university is its campus life. You enjoy in every possible manner. And the memories gifted by the campus life is always hugged with tears by every student passing out from here. A very beautiful campus, heaven of odisha, the red empire- Ravenshaw.

Campus Life

3.5

The university boasts if the ldest and thebiggest library of the state having infinite books, reference as well as others. Many state level matches are held on its huge play ground officially by OCA (Odisha Cricket Association). Labs are fully equipped. Hostels are wifi enabled. And IT classes are equipped with wifi, projector, AC, sound system and wifi.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are equipped with wifi, study room, gym, parking space, tv room. Mess is available. The room-rent+food comes to around Rs 1500 per month. You get the opportunity to study at a very low cost. The mess workers are very kind. The hostel administration is not strict at all. You get enough freedom.

Faculties are very helpful they provide notes everyday what they teach
College students are friendly and affordable
They give many fests and cultural events

Dislikes

They discriminate between girls and boys always
Discriminate between locals and others mainly if you are from Bihar
Many fights between odia and bihari every year

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible in 8th semester for sitting in the college placement the average package is around 3 lakhs mostly companies are startup's like tech yatra , mtechin etc . Major companies like tcs , tech Mahindra also come

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

DRIEMS UNIVERSITY review after 5 year of frustrating experience legacy will be continued ????....

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Dislikes

Poor placement cell organization among student as well as authority
Hostel facility are not up to the mark, regarding food and hygiene
Many departments are having less faculties due to which study is hampered a lot

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester of undergraduate and 3rd semester of postgraduate student are eligible fir campus. But the number of companies come to take agriculture student are very less which is disappointing. Mahindra company comes which gives the highest package upto 6 lakh. Other ngo like pradan also comes. About 30% student get placement My plans are for civil service after my course

A pretty good college with scope of improvement

Likes

The campus life is amazing. Our student union is extremely hard-working, and they always come up with some events or other to make your boredom go away
Faculties are very knowledgeable and unlike most colleges, they actually want to teach. The clinical experience is unmatched
Infrastructure is top notch. Single rooms are available from second year, and the hostels are quite well maintained

Dislikes

The curriculum is a bit too strict regarding marks and attendance. A little leniency would have been better
The campus area is a little smaller compared to other AIIMS
Too much administrative red tape causes delay in almost everything, be it installation of new water filters or filling a pothole

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to become a doctor, and MBBS is the first step to become one, so I choose this course. This course makes you a primary care physician, capable of providing basic healthcare services. And being a bachelor's degree, this is a stepping stone for the future endeavours in medico life. Though I feel there's room for improvement in the flexibility of the course, as there's not much to choose what to study. Exams are once in 2-3 months, and are moderately difficult, except the professional exams, for which you have to put your best efforts

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of timing is almost good. Student can study properly within the 2 exams time period. Bcom course as well as college as well as faculty is themselves a practical world .What going on this world that mainly study in this world mainly in the subject of economy.

Teaching is very good here , all the teachers are good except a few
Supportive seniors, help with studies n all
You will get a good environment for studies

Dislikes

Well campus isn't as we expected it to be
As always you have to choose your friends wisely
There's not a lot of fests going on yearly as like other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well MBBS is a serving degree, if you are interested in serving the people you can choose this degree. It also needs a lot of patience, here we have classes from 7 AM so its a bit hard to wake up this early & ends at 4 PM which causes more trouble coz u won't get to rest properly, usually we end up being tired & lack of sleep, so I think this schedule can have a bit more change with regards to us children. The exams here are done very frequently, as in the class tests are taken up time to time , sometimes surprise tests are also done so u have to be very updated with what's being studied each cls.The internals are held in every trimester & at the end of the year a product exam is being held which is the important one.

I applied to Ravenshaw University only and I got into DSM fortunately. As the only university in our area which got A++ as per NAAC it was first and utmost choice for me. It's a dream university for many of students in Odisha. If you're scoring above 55% I think you're safe for cutoffs. Overall admission process is smooth and fast....Read More

Admission process is very simple you have to just apply form in SAMS portal, after selection download your intimation letter and go to the respective college with all your documents.
