Remarks

Aligarh Muslim University is a prestigious university with excellence in education and all round development,I am doing my B.A graduation from Abdulla Women's College of A.M.U which provide honours in B.A you can choose the subjects you like from Arts subject to Social Sciences.I particularly chose to do B.A for a better understanding of social sciences and arts subjects which will help me clearing various state and union civil services exam hopefully.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Our syllabus was not quite well updated i would say.We are provided exposure as various seminars and fest are often organised we have a politically active campus but being away from the main campus in women's college we also face some delay of events, but that doesn't bother much. My main subject is sociology and our sir and mam teach us in quite good way so i think Social science faculty is quite good.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 2800 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement and job opportunities are quite good PHD students are recruited as as professors at various Universities provided their excellent knowlege, research scholars are also some times recruited as part time teacher at the University itself which provide for their practices.MBA is quite good an option for professional courses various startups are being started by MBA graduates where they work as a team.Joint ventures of alumni and graduates provide for job referrals and experience of the freshly graduates.

College Events

3.5

Our college holds various fest organised by various clubs at our university like Fine Arts Club organises its workshop, there is Film club,Western Music club and my favourite Literary club, all these clubs hold worshops, seminars and various celebrities are being called by the secretaries of our clubs. It is held in February every year.Voluteers are chosen, anyone can apply for participation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is given in the first year if you top the scholarship exam of your subject conducted by college.

Campus Life

3.5

Our infrastructure is well equipped we have wifi facilities for hostel residents.A big basketball ground, cricket ground and our college library is big enough to support a big number of students all at once.

Hostel Facilities

Yes ofcourse I opted for hostel, which is not a hostel in general but a hall as we say it Abdullah hall, there is a goof facility for wifi and good food with so and so rooms as what a pulblic University can provide you.A very safe hostel for girls.

The beauty of BHU

Likes

The things I liked about the college are the faculty and the professors. They are very cooperative and helpful.
The campus life is quite beautiful here, campus is very close to nature and you can get fresh air. Also the infrastructure is on the top they have all the facilities which are required.
There is an active placement cell in the campus which usually provide in campus placement to students according to their concerned departments.

Dislikes

Some of the things which i think should need to be improved are the classrooms and canteens.
Also I think there is need of improvement in placement cells fir humanities students.
For library I would also say there needs an improvement because they have less capacity in comparison with number of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is very relevant. I took admission in pg diploma in guidance and counselling which is a one year diploma course. I was inspired to do this course specially because it can provide you placement for sure. After this you can apply as a counsellor in any academic setting or NGOs.The teaching method of professors is quite good. They almost cover the entire syllabus before exams

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

My geart government college

Likes

If I talk about my college that i appreciate is the best part of environment very much good and more than best other government colleges in mzn
Our campus life is okay okay!! Cause I'm not that part of campus life. So I don't enjoy that part of my college.
I truly talking about faculty's it is genuine with us . And teaching methods is best every teachers always the right time in the classroom.

Dislikes

No more provided placements in our college cause it is a government. But always support teachers for providing for career development.
It's a properly government college. So more more facilities in our college and campus life other students who studied about coursees.
I did completed Bachelors of commerce in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ok, if I talk about my course, I have done B.Com from there and B.Com is a very good level course. It means there is a degree in it and I had to prepare for government job and from the beginning I had taken commerce in 11th class, so I found B.Com very suitable for me and as far as exams are concerned, B.Com means good study. Our college used to teach us very well, so I had also taken tuitions together, so it was quite good. My experience means it did not seem so difficult. I found it very difficult, I used to get very good exams and I cleared it very well without any back.

A Glimpse of Life in Aligarh Muslim University

I chose this college mainly because of the less fees structure and the greenary campus , a good place to study. Moreover, I'm preparing for govt exams also, so the time needed during M.tech. is enough to focus on exams too. Also, I don't want any gap between the study and job as we have to justify later during interview (the year gaps , if any). Moreover , lot of opportunities are also possible in foreign countries too , and we are also eligible for Assistant professor post (if any). I applied for Jamia Millia Islamia too , but was in waiting list , so i decided to join Aligarh Muslim University and I'm grateful that i did so....Read More

M.Ed. in Aligarh Muslim University

I applied for this college only. Highly affordable fee of course and hostel fee. Hostel provides us so many facilities in a very basic pay of 1500 per month including mess and other things. For m.ed we have to prepare for an entrance test. Forms of amu m.ed are generally out during january- march period. The paper is of 100 marks, only mcq, based on core papers of b.ed. the cutoff is around 55+ for general+external candidate and 40+ for internal. The admission process is smooth and easy. We have to check the official website and everything is online, both counselling and admission . The hostel is alotted directly during the admission....Read More
