Thapar university is a branded institute and it provides the best infrastructure and faculty. The professors are well equipped with the knowledge of their domains and they always try to help the students. The experience which we get at Thapar University is truly amazing. It helps us to develop overall personality.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is well updated and the faculty is very good except one or two teachers. Parminder sir and Neetu mam from chemical engineering background are very knowledgeable and teach in a very understandable manner.
Placement Experience
Top companies also comes like microsoft which provides 40 lac package and if we talk about chemical engineering branch then the placement rate was approximately 60% but if you are well equipped with knowledge, you can surely get placed. Companies like Hmel, deloitte, capgemini(6 lpa), reliance (6lpa), ambuja cement, yara fertilizer, jp morgan (12 lpa) comes into the campus.
College Events
Thapar University organizes many events like Saturnalia (one of the biggest event) which runs for around 1 week. We had a great DJ night with Badshah and Aastha gill. You will love this place in terms of campus life.
Campus Life
Campus has one of the best infrastructure of all engineering colleges. Full campus is wifi enabled and library is very good also. Sports facilities are also great. Talking about equipment, they are not very good but can do the work.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are amazing. First year students generally get B,C hostels and then in second year we can get H,L,K and other hostels. All hostels have wifi and great food. No problem from the hostel side. First year students get a 4 people shared room and in subsequent years, we can get single or double rooms.
