Hemant Gupta's Review On Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi

Jami Hamdard for the MBA in Health Hospital and Pharma Management is one of the best institution. It has one of the best placement record and has good economical fee structure. Although College is dominated by Muslim Students and Teachers but in spite of it I have never faced any religious discrimination. I will recommend this college to all students who wish to do MBA from North India & cannot afford high Fees of todays MBA Colleges So called Management Shops.

I took MAT 99.6 Percentile reason for selecting Jamia Hamdard Although by virtue of my good MAT score I was getting admission in all the leading colleges.

Health Economics,Pharma Marketing,Marketing of Health Care,Bio-stats,Legal issues in Health Care Course curriculum need to be updated as per the current need of the industry. For example need to Advance supply chain management Topics,ANDAs filing,Patent related issues,Regulatory affairs issues. Organization behavior related topics were taught theoretically.

College internship experience was very good. Lot of companies offered summer internship to us. Infact I got couple of offers and to strengthen my resume I did summer training in two leading companies Ranbaxy Laboratories and Piramal Health Care. Elli Lilly came to our campus to offer summer training in Market research. Company offered Stipend of Rs 5,000 allowance other expenses. Company sent students through Flight to different cities to conduct survey.

Placement at our time was above average but it got better with subsequent batches. At our time 8-10 below mentioned good companies came for final placement Promed Pharma,Fortis Hospital,Ranbaxy Laboratories,Winmedicare. All leading Pharma Market research and Consultancy companies7) KPOs and TPA companies All the students got placements in International marketing,Brand Management,Sales & Marketing,Health Consultant,Regulatory affairs & Market research.

All the leading events were celebrated. Every year there used to be Fresher party,Alumini Meet & national festival were celebrated. Eid,Diwali,Alumuni Meet,Fresher Party,Ramzan.

Fee structure was very feasible.

I did not availed any scholarship,loan facility but many of my friend availed the same. I do not have any detailed information on it.

Campus life was very lively. There used to many cultural events and gathering which I had attended. There used to be T20 Cricket matched at college play ground. I have attended annual day and college fest in which all the leading personalities of respective filed were used to be invited. All ghazals,Poem recitation,Plays,Sports events(all leading indoor & out door ) used to happened.

Hostel Facilities and mess food ware very nice. As I was staying with my parents at our own House So I did not utilized the Hostel facility. However I had a good access to Hostel and Mess and the condition of both were good. I had many lunches and dinner at Mess andd the quality of food was very nice. As per my friend the cost of Hostel room and Mess was very nominal.

Every year there used to be alumuni meet in which all the sentiors were used to come. There is central Alumuni commite which control the networking of the alumni. There is electronic data base of all the alumni (their names,email Ids,Contact address and mobile number,their office details).

In two year course we had half yearly exams. It used to be a fun while having the exams. The patter on exams were very interactive by having case studies. Professors also used to take class test theoretical & case study. Through case studies we used to given a situation a real situation class was divided in different group. All groups had to provide solution to the same provided situation Problem.

Faculty of the college was above average. Most of the faculty was from Industry. Faculty was very helpful and helped students to manage their problems in very congenial manner. Faculty was very particular about taking regular test in order to understand the level of understanding of students.
