The expensive engineering

University infrastructure is of high level.Academic calendars are followed strictally. Managements needs to focus more on quality of education and also they should ensure placement of students at the end of course as every student is paying very high fee apart from valuable time.

I appeared KIITEE 2009 which was organized by KIIT UNIVERSITY without charging examination fee. Scored 170 marks Rank 3044. Joined KIIT just because review regarding campus placement was good for all branches.

Course structure for all branches are defined very well. Every subject course is designed meeting course criteria globally. Though scope of research at graduate level is not far better but initiative for research development is in process with collaboration with research bodies.

At our time there was no internship facility provided by university. Usually students arrange for their own summer internship. At our time no company visited for internship though Microsoft and Intel visit for internship.

Major recruiters are from IT industries who hire from almost all branches. Major IT recruiters are TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini etc. Core companies for Mechanical, Electrical and civil are very limited. Average package of placed student are 3 lac. In my batch hardly 50% were placed from Mechanical inclusive all IT recruitment and one fake recruitment.

Big events in cultural segment is Kritansh in which participant from various colleges attend. Annual cricket tournament in which colleges from all over India participates. Technical event like OFF ROAD VEHICLE RACING COMPETITION in which almost 100 engg colleges participates.

College is too expensive in terms off fee yearly fee is more than 2.5 lac Currentry Semester fees for engineering is 1.1 lac and other charges make sum of 60-80k. Hostel charges is minimum 50K. Also semester registration fee and exam fee of ₹2000/- is additional. Transportation charges are included in fees but not a single student use university buses as hostels and college are within campus in walking distance.

Topper and among toppers of entrance exam gets fee waiver upto 100%. Also semester toppers get a scholarship.

Male female ratio is of 60/40. There is no diversity wrt gender, religion ,race and region.Students from all region of India and world study altogether. University has many activities related to extra curriculum, sports , technical competition like robotics, racing , paper presentation etc.

Hostel facilities are OK. Every room is shared with 3 students. Hostel is maintained and neat and clean. Hostel fee inclusive of mesa charges are around some of 50k per year. Now modern hostel is also available with AC on single /double share. Water supply and electricity is available 24hrs. In winter separate water point for warm water is also available. Purified drinking water is available in evey floor. Daily room cleaning is done by hostel management.

Alumni members have networked in common group from where they share information regarding job openings and other useful stuffs. Also university organize every year Alumni meet in different zone of country.

In every semester unit test, mid term and end term examinations are scheduled apart from lab classes. We had almost 8 hrs of classes exept Sunday. Few days of week use to be hectic.specially during lab hour. Labs usually have 3 hours of classes where students are divided into groups of small. Generally there is one day gap provided between exam papers of end term examination. Also preparatory brake is provided before end term examination.

All faculties are highly qualified and belongs for highly reputed colleges of India and abroad. Most of the faculties are PhD from IITs,NITs. Few of faculty members have their own laboratory. Faculties are specialized in the area of studies. Every department has adequate number of faculties wrt students enrolled. Also for off time study doubt a group of faculty members are provided via mail or phone to clear students doubt.
