Remarks

I didn't got a good JEE MAINS percentile to take computer science as the branch for my btech that's why I took admission in the 2nd best engineering college after IIT Roorkee. Also my college has a good reputation for engineering placements. In 2019 the average package of our college was 4.5 lacs and maximum package was 55 lacs. GEU also provide great exposure, the guidance of versed faculties and so much more. This college was also near to my hometown which also adds up to choose this as my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is not much updated for the first year students of engineering and is same for all the branches of BTECH but in second year college separate all the branches of engineering students and in COMPUTER SCIENCE there are latest technologies included with the regular course. Also the resources and the methods of teaching are totally in accordance to the new market technology. No industrial exposure is not give till now(as I m in 2nd year) but in 3rd nd 4th year of BTECH all the industrial exposure is given to the students. Some faculties are very nice both personally and in teaching methods like my professor Mr. BHASKAR NAUTIYAL - electronics. Some faculties are also average in that case one have to study that subject on its own.

Placement Experience

I can say that placements are quite good in our college for engineering students. Companies like Capgemini, Wipro, cisco visited in our college. In 2019 800 students out of 1200 were placed. There are different startups by students in our college. One of them is TYSM cards in dehradun by our seniors.

College Events

It was nice. There are technical seminars from our alumni of previous years, from the different known technical tycoons. Different college events like mini grafest takes place around November and main grafest(name of our college fest) around June which includes thousands of students. In main grafest there is some celebrity also there to double the fun and entertainment. The student participation in all the students is very high. Mostly everyone took part in some or other sort of activities. For boosting students minds college clubs also organises quiz and other informative challenges. Awareness campaigns are also one of the part of our NSS activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got 92.5 % in PCM in 12th so I availed scholarship according to 90-95% range. There are different ranges of 12th percentage or JEE MAINS percentile to avail the scholarships for having discount in the student's program.

Campus Life

Sports facilities are quite good but I think there is no participation from girls in our college. I don't know anything much about sports there. College is distributed in a large area there are different blocks and different buildings devoted to a different study areas. WI fi connectivity is only in the nearby area of library for students. But for faculties and organizing people wifi is available in each building with different networks. In labs I can say that the equipments are of both types old and the latest ones. Different labs provide you with different kind of equipment atmosphere, some has the new ones and some has old ones.

The cafeteria is now wide and also breathable as they worked on infra

The washroom area should be more good and hygiene

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

I like the college curriculum and study materials and teaching style of the teachers . Some teachers are impressive and their teaching style is too good .
Campus life is not much engaging but we usually spent our time in studying only . Also for attendance there is not much more criteria but some teachers are very strict in taking the attendance.
Faculties are full of experience and knowledge. They are approachable online and offline too but after the class.

Dislikes

I don't like the placement system in my college because the students studying in 2nd year do not get any exposure of placement . There is placement cell in our college but not very active .
Infrastructure is good but it should be spread in a more big acres . My wish was to get into IIT Kharagpur that's why I am asking for big campus .
Overall curriculum and research based approach of the campus is good. They just give projects to the seniors and seniors work is to dictate us about the project and helps us in building different types of project.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that motivates me to choose this college is the GFTI'S colleges . Because my father suggest me that govt. Colleges seeks more companies that's why I choose this college . But truth is totally opposite from the reality. Real world application based projects is just given by the teachers in every semester but we students copy it and give it to them from the gpt. College timing should be more less we have to study from 10 am to 5 p.m. Timings of exams are of 3 hrs only in semester . Difficulty level is moderate.

The faculties were friendly and approachable.
There was multiple sports ground, a cafeteria and libraries as well adding to the student requirements.
The overall college life was vibrant as multiple other extracurricular activities was organized from time to time.

Dislikes

The food menu was repetitive and be a lot more better.
Labs could use a bit more maintenance. Although, well equipped a few things was missing from it.
More practical is needed especially for a subject like agriculture.

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent and growing evey year. The students are eligible for campus placements from 3rs year itself. The highest placemet going up to 85LPA and the average placement package being about 6-7 LPA.

The faculty here is very helpful and they teach only realvent things about your course and they also provide you day to day notes and assingmemts for your daily prep

There is no such things that i did not like in this collage but if i have to say something i will go with the canteen service is very bad and not very friendly

Course Curriculum Overview:

On expericing day to day people and theirs pain in the muscle and joints . This made me decide why i should choose this course . The area which they need for improvement is if they give more attetion to some sports that will be very greatful for the students so that they can have some fun other study and stress. The timing of the collage is 9 to 5 and if you have any exam or practicals only then they call you on specific time and regular classes are off on that day duration of the exam is 1.5 hours

Placement Experience:

From 3 or 4 semester the students will become eligible for campus placement. Lots of companies and hospital employees come here for placement job . And take our interviews . They heir us give the job with good salaries .. above 60% marks students get placement with handsome salary. With a satisfying way . There is a lots of plan of mine to take a job in good hospital with good service and salaries with good staff with good coordination. To help patients to operate them and save their life as possible as I can do.
