Remarks

Our college does not organise many events or fests except for some like Holi, foundation day and some small events. There are very few seminars for biology students. Students can apply for various scholarships if they find themselves eligible like Medhabruti, Prerana, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The zoology faculty members in our college are helpful and friendly. However, lab faculty members are poor. Basically, the science stream is good, but commerce streams do not have proper classes. There is a lack of exposure to future courses, as no internships are done. Regular classes are done here.

There is no placement system. Our college does not provide placements for zoology students, B.Sc or M.Sc students. Our college does not provide an internship for students. However, computer students get some internships

College Events

The hostel rooms and bathrooms are good. Food served is only twice a day and not of very good quality. There is mostly a shortage of hostel rooms, but there are many private hostels nearby. The hostel gates get closed very early. Quality of the food served in the canteen is poor.

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

The excellent university of odisha

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I don't have any specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose this course . The hands on projects have helped me to understand the practical use of the concept. Opportunities for collaboration and feedback from professionals from the industy will increase the learning application. Per semester the frequency of exam is 3 . The difficulty level is not that much as it is in the semester .

Placement Experience:

As Rourkela is a tier 3 city the placement opportunities are no as much as the tier 1 cities but the college still provides placements oppertunities with a decent amount of starting package of 4LPA.The college brings alot of companies for job and intership through it's long and good establishment in the city. The students becomes eligible for campus placement from 5th semester onwards as they have enough projects. Infosys, Capgemini,Dalmia,etc companies visited and highest package was 4.5 Lpa and average was 4lpa with 2 lpa as the lowest. Getting a MCA degree afterwards is most preferable for getting a better job.

Best Women's College

First I applied for Utkal University for my PG in life scene but didn't get into due to less mark in my entrance examination. Also, the no. of seats for life Science is limited there. After that, I get qualified for RDWU for my PG. The admission criteria for PG id provided based on the score of entrance examination following Viva and career marks. Based on these criteria I get qualified for the free seat which involves a fee of only 2500 rupees for the first year.
