Remarks

Overall, the study environment is competitive and good. Need improvement with respect to teaching. Placement is good. Hostel is next to college. Fees are not too expensive. Easy access to scholarship schemes of government, nice library, standard crowd, well equipped labs, all these points make this college one to be considered. Teachers need to improve on presentation and communication skills.

Entrance Preview

I got admission through centralized admission process. One has to appear for Engineering CET. I got 160/200. The review of college in terms of activities and placements were really good. So I opted for this college. There are many CAP rounds. I got through first round. Also 15% seats are available for AIEEE.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is designed by Mumbai University for all affiliated colleges. The course involves vast variety of subjects covering database, operationg system, microprocessor, computer programming etc. However, focus on research is one of the things that are missed in curriculum. You have to submit assignments or projects for every subject.

Internships Opportunities

The college does not strictly guarantees the internship, but it encourages and facilitates students for internship. The placement cell works hard for students. They help with documentation if needed for student opting for internship.

Placement Experience

4

Placement cell is really good. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Persistent Systems, CTS, Accenture, Hexaware visit college every year. From year 2011, almost 80% of eligible students have been placed. Also, placement cell helps you even if you are passed out student and still looking for job. They mail you details on personal mail ids. Only one rule applies - you cannot opt of companies if you are placed in one.

College Events

4

There is sports festival sportec, technical festival and cultural festival. Former two are arranged in December and latter in February. Volleyball, badminton, cricket, carrom, TT are some of the sports in comletition. Technical fest includes boot camps, robotic competition, programming competitions, and workshops. Students from other colleges can opt for these competition. The cultural fest includes singing, dancing, fashion show, RJ challenge competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When I took admission the fee structure for all 4 years was same 37000 College fee, 5000 development fee, 800 Stationary fee includes journals, printout pages, 500 Exam fees so overall approx. 43000 Rs. It is npt expensive compared to other colleges. However, now the fee has increased.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scolarships for backward class students provided by government. Also, good scholarships are available for economically backward class. Loan facility is not available however, you can pay fees in multiple installments.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is really good. Girls overnumber boys in electronics departments. Fresher party, last year send off parties are arranged. Allumni parties are also arranged. No conflict has ever observed based on religion, race or color. Good number of events are arranged. Robotics is major part of competitions, includes robo race, robo football etc. You can meet people from different parts of India though percentage of Maharashtrian crowd is more. There are students from Satara, Kolhapur, Malegoan, Nasik etc. Economic status or caste are not the matters which are discussed or teased on.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is managed by college itself. It is next to college so feasible to use. Not very expensive. The food is good, not great. There are sharing options and prices change accordingly. Average cost is 6000-8000 with food. The rooms have bed and cupboard.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is really good, thanks to placement cell again. They wish you on your birthdays, inform you about important days in college, ask for your help in some students need any. There are facebook groups created by college to post important updates and start discussion.

Exam Structure

Exams are big part of college curriculum. There are unit tests, projects and assignments. Internal marks are decided based on exams. The results are shared with parents. Unit tests are once in two months. The main exam is conducted by university. There is always a gap of 3 days between two papers. Practical and orals are part of some subjects.

Admission

CET results are out in June july period and then they release procedure with dates. You have to submit online filled form along with result to one of the CAP centres e. g. Somaiya college of Engineering. In the form, you have to specify 20 college preferences in descending order of preference. Then the verification takes place and first round results are out. If you get an admission, go to respective college, submit originals and pay fees. For me it was 42000 Rs.

Faculty

3.5

There are few lecturers who are fully qualified to teach in terms of knowledge. However, some lecturers are not. The college misses people having industrial experience. The labs are well equipped. Teachers are approachable, friendly and strict in terms of exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements at ADYPU are moderate and structred . Students usually become eligilble from the final year for campus drives. Various startups and mid level comapnies visit for roles in sales, marketing, operatioons and tech support . The highest pacakage generally ranges arounf 45-50LPA , while the average package is around 4.5-6 LPA , depending on the profile . A fair percentage of active students secure placements. After completing my degree, i plan to focus on skill development and pursue better career op;portunities.

Placement Experience:

placements in GHRCE are pretty good for CS/IT branches. Students become eligible from 7th semester, but companies starts giving training sessions from 6th sem itself. Many known companies visits like Tcs, Wipro, Capgemini, cognizant, Infosis etc The highest package goes around 20-22 LPA while the average package is around 5-6 LPA. Almost 70-80% students from CS/IT get placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get a stable job and then do masters.

Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2022)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course out of sheer curiosity and intrest in the field of Artificial Intelligence . The course offered by the college encapsulates all the major subtopics included in the field. Theoretically the curriculum offers great knowledge about various topics from your course however you yourself have to figure out how do you build your practical skills which you can use in the real world. teaching methods can be improvised by implementing a more practical learning based approach rather than relying on the theoretical part of the subject. there are 2exams per semester, one small exam called as mid semester exams and the other one is the major exam called as final semester exam. difficulty of exam is usually easy to moderate and one can easily pass the exam even if he/she does not study regularly.
