Remarks
I choose NIT Hamirpur because of its beautiful campus and the placements are also good in mechanical engineering at that time. The admission process is very simple, some personal documents are required such as 10th and 12th mark sheet, character, etc
Course Curriculum Overview
Some of the professors are highly qualified and have teaching experience for more than 15 years. All the teachers are very friendly and helpful. Approximate 25 to 30 teachers in each department and approximate 100 to 110 students each year.
Internships Opportunities
Very few companies come for internship opportunities. Only a few students get this opportunity. If you have good skills then you try for an internship off-campus. Accenture, Samsung, etc very few companies come for an internship.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in CSE but for other branches, placements are not so good. About 90 to 95% of students placed in CSE and ECE in 2020. About 60 to 70% of students placed ME, EE, CE, etc. The highest package salary in ME is about 16 lakhs and the average package salary is about 4 lakhs in ME.
Fees and Financial Aid
Approx 78k college fees and 25k hostel fees for even semesters and 70k college fees and 20k hostel fees for odd semesters. Placements are good in computer science and engineering. But for other branches placements are not so good. Some of the recruiters are Accenture, Samsung, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Paytm, Jio, L&T, etc, The highest package 22 lakhs and the average package is about 5 lakhs in CSE in 2020.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is so good, all the buildings are beautifully designed and for all the different departments there are separate buildings. There is also a lecture hall, auditorium, library, sports complex, etc. Most of the useful books are available in the library. There are two types of the fest, one is a cultural fest named Hill fair and another fest is a technical fest named nimbus and both the fests are good.
Hostel Facilities
For each year there are different beautifully designed buildings for hostels and all the hostels has WIFI and some of the hostels also have LAN facility. The quality of the meal is average. In one room there are 3 single beds and the quality of the rooms is good.
