Remarks
So at the time of my admission, I didn't find enough reviews about the college and the ones available were not detailed enough. The admission is based on REAP process and I think it consists of 3 rounds in total. I preferred this college just because of its rank in the state.
Course Curriculum Overview
You will not at all get the flexibility of choosing your subjects. If you are enrolled in a branch, you have to study the subjects given to you by the university for that particular branch. The only subjects you can choose are for getting the Hons Degree which requires some extra credits. Overall the faculty is good I can say.
Placement Experience
There are plenty of placements here. You'll surely get placed in your final sem and the placement percentage is around 90+%. But I think very less or almost none of the high package providing companies to visit the campus. The avg. placement is around 3-4 l.p.a (tech )and 5-6 l.p.a (non-tech).
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees when I registered was 80K per annum, but around the year-end, we got a notice saying the fees are now increased, by this we thought that the increase will come in effect with the following year, but no, we were charged the difference that particular year too. So now the fees are around 90k per annum. Which is I think at par with other private colleges. And yes, the college do provide you scholarships.
Campus Life
Here comes the truth, if you just want to study, this is the best college with the best study atmosphere. But as we all know college is the place where you explore stuff, so just remove this thought from your mind if you are planning to apply here. Because here you'll not get that social life. Rules are pretty strict here, there is a uniform and you can't even leave the campus before 2:30 pm, the gates are closed! (Yaa you read that right, just like schools). For fests, we have the main annual event Aarambh(Sports) and Pravaah (Cultural) in Feb (almost) every year. And there are many tech events happening all around the year. Classrooms and Library are well equipped. And as for clubs, there are multiple cultural and tech clubs. But you'll only get a day every week to attend these clubs i.e Wednesday.
Hostel Facilities
There are 2 boys hostels in this college. Nirvana (it's within the campus) and KBH (outside the campus). Nirwana has individual rooms but common washrooms and KBH are more like apartments with shared room (2 or 3 students) with separate washrooms. You have a curfew time of 9 pm, by that time you need to get In the hostel. But suppose if you forgot some stuff in your room in the college hours, you are not allowed to go in, which I think is not a way how hostels should run. And if you choose to live in KBH the good luck, you are not even allowed to leave campus before 2:30 so you absolutely can't go to your room. The food is like any other mess, which you will like in the first month but after that, you'll absolutely hate it.
Interview Experience
I actually had a PI with the college dean(The Principal), because I choose CSE which you all know is in the most demand these days. The main motive of the PI was to know if I am genuinely interested in the branch or I am just following the mass. And because I have an interest in the field, I got the admission.
