Remarks

Admission revolves around merit list and its movement. DIT University has an amazing infrastructure and is situated in the lap of the doon valley. The scenic beauty of this college is amazing. The bad part is faculty is under par and transparency of what happens behind the college is low. 80-85% of students were left unplaced in 2016. After that engineering scene in India has even degraded further.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was a random decision I had the least amount of knowledge about engineering or what I wanted to do in life. It was an impromptu decision. Faculty to student ratio is alright but the quality of faculty is bad. The whole academic curriculum is ill-planned including good subjects but not backing them with proper faculty. Since 2016, DIT has upgraded its infrastructure to the level of 3-star facility. But I doubt the quality of education.

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is pathetic of the college with 80-85% students unplaced. I was one of the lucky ones to get placed in mass recruiters. Companies like Infy, Wipro, Cognizant visited for IT profiles. Just one company for mechanical, electrical. Adobe, Ashok Leyland were dream companies there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Now the fees have increased drastically from 1.5 lacs to 3 lacs per year so 12 lacs including the hostel. The fees are pretty hefty. Taking a loan will be a risky option if not from a well to do the background. There is no assistance for internship and pathetic assistance for jobs, there is some assistance financially (check with college).

Campus Life

Campus and infrastructure are top-notch, the yearly fest is also pretty amazing but with the college providing bad education its beats the whole purpose.

Likes

I like the college curriculum and study materials and teaching style of the teachers . Some teachers are impressive and their teaching style is too good .
Campus life is not much engaging but we usually spent our time in studying only . Also for attendance there is not much more criteria but some teachers are very strict in taking the attendance.
Faculties are full of experience and knowledge. They are approachable online and offline too but after the class.

Dislikes

I don't like the placement system in my college because the students studying in 2nd year do not get any exposure of placement . There is placement cell in our college but not very active .
Infrastructure is good but it should be spread in a more big acres . My wish was to get into IIT Kharagpur that's why I am asking for big campus .
Overall curriculum and research based approach of the campus is good. They just give projects to the seniors and seniors work is to dictate us about the project and helps us in building different types of project.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that motivates me to choose this college is the GFTI'S colleges . Because my father suggest me that govt. Colleges seeks more companies that's why I choose this college . But truth is totally opposite from the reality. Real world application based projects is just given by the teachers in every semester but we students copy it and give it to them from the gpt. College timing should be more less we have to study from 10 am to 5 p.m. Timings of exams are of 3 hrs only in semester . Difficulty level is moderate.

I like the teachers all teachers are very supportive
The nature of teachers are very good and love to learn with them
The teachers are very good and I can learn a lot from them

Dislikes

The unwanted rules and regulation of the hostel.
The quality of the beds and the table and chair is not good.
Hostel facility is less and have good infrastructure.

I m interesting in technology that's why I have applied for cs . I like to learn new things so I m a quick learner and love to do many thing for my community and I am contributing in open source , I like computer science

I really like the nature view from the campus.

Dislikes

I dont like the college timetable as i have 6 hours of classes and 3 hours of break in between which kills alot of time.

Placement Experience:

From semester 7 students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like samsung, infosys, IBM have offered placements. Talking about my plan i have an idea to start after my degree or maybe experience of a couple of years.

Graduation- Best time of life.

Likes

The campus of the university is beyond beautiful and homely. Participation in college and university societies paves way for an all rounder development of the students. Facilities like CCF internet facility) is quite commendable.
Good Placements offered also encourage better future prospects. The library of the university is next level. Kisan mela held two times a year feels like another celebration for the university people.
Events held in the university with amazing artists offer exposure as well as a unique way to keep the entertainment alive amongst the youth.e

Dislikes

The hostel rules were rigid especially the entry timings of the girls hostel. The rigidity to take leave by getting it signed by various officials first had been an issue. Although, this was when i was graduating, things might have changed by now.
The stringent hostel rules were quite difficult to cope with. The strict checking at the university gates though might seem good as per the security but seem harsh sometimes.
Teaching methods could be made more progressive and technical with time paving way for more practical knowledge. Infrastructure could also be given a push.

Placement Experience:

In final year of btech companies start coming. Maximum students of CSE and IT get placed. Package is min. 3.2Lacs CTC. Both mass recruiters and startups take part in the placement drive. A good number of students get placed. But maximum students of our college opt for higher studies like appearing for GATE, GRE, CAT exams. Further students indulge in preparation for govt services like UPSC, Defence.

A overall overview of college in term of my thinking.

Likes

College faculty is quite supportive in term of working.
College atmosphere for study is good for students.
College social interaction and certain society are good for overall improvement of students.

Dislikes

College placement does satisfy the required term.
Some college professor are not supporting in certain circumstances.
Infrastructure is quite old as per new baches for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and curriculum of colleges influenced by some professor that include something to the world that include in the current term. Improvement thst include the teaching method and the term of it and the frequency and timing of exam along prospective of the difficulty level is more.

Faculty Student Ratio is very Poor approx 1:90. Only Two Faculty is PHD Holder in CSE department. I choose this college because low rank. Peer Group is not good. Exams were taken timely, paper is bit difficult.

Green Campus with Quality Training and Placement support

Likes

Campus environment and infrastructure is good.
The college fees in so affordable for bachelor degree.
Faculty and staff is quite supportive and so interacting.

Dislikes

Fines were taken by the campus on each and every smalls things.
Many restrictions were put on the students.
Library of the college ony having the books related to course.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement after 5th semester. Many companies visit to the campus for placement of students and hire them at good packages. The highest placement is of 84 LPA and the average package is around 5LPA. 96% of students got placed in companies.

Some faculty are there to taunt students not to study. They only know how to push down and demoralize anyone. One thing I didnt unferstand why faculty play politics in college rather than teaching students.

You can get various scholarships on the basis of your percentile in jee mains and your 12th percentage. It's around 100 percent for 90+ percentile in jee mains and 100 percent for 95+ in PCM in 12th.
