Remarks

College is a fun place to be in where you learn a lot of new things and my college is no different. I would highly recommend studying here for research as well as placements. Even though it could do better in the hostel front, it is a good place to graduate from.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Yes, the college gives a very mixed curriculum of theory as well as practical knowledge. It helps a lot to secure placements as there are seminars and projects and mentors to guide you. Research is very prominent here and you can publish your own papers with some help.

Placement Experience

4

Placements vary from branch to branch and the total average placements have been around 10 to 13 lakhs per annum. More than 75% students get placed every year with the numbers increasing every year. Some of the companies that visit are Microsoft, Oracle, Fidelity, L&T and Byjus. They offer PPOs as well as internships. The Training and Placement sector of the college manages the placements and sends emails to notify students of interviews and applications so that they don't miss out on any company.

College Events

4.5

The technical fest is Technozian which is conducted usually around September to October and has a lot of technical events that you can set up as well as participate in. The cultural fest is SpringSpree and is bigger. It is conducted around March end and has a lot of dance, music and games. Both fests are attended by around 2000 to 5000 externals. People get the chance to make a lot of money at these fests. The management fest is comparatively small and is attended by a lot less people.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible and takes around 5 lakhs to complete my course unless you are from the DASA scheme which takes around 20 lakhs. Apart from this, there are a lot of scholarships that can waiver the tuition fee too. The modes of payments are net banking, cards and UPI. There are no additional fees except hostel and mess bills. The college is quite transparent when it comes to the fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship for JEE students are merit based and can be availed if you have a cgpa of above 7.5 and it is for a sum of 1.25 lakhs on an average.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio is around 3 girls for every 7 boys. Campus life is quite exuberant with fests and events throughout the year. There is a lot of diversity because it is a national as well as international college. A lot of festivals like Diwali, Ganesh Chathurthi, Halloween and Christmas are celebrated on campus. There is a strict anti-ragging policy and everyone is treated equally and with a lot of respect. The campus air is quite fresh and has lots of greenery around making it nice to walk every morning. All shops and restaurants are very near and delivery system also works. There are a lot of clubs for music, dance, food, yoga and writing.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I stay in the hostel for girls. In first year, it is 4 per room and from 2nd year it is 2 per room. They are quite spacious and located close to the classrooms and mess. For boys, there are various hostel buildings while for girls it is a compound with around 3 to 4 buildings. The washrooms are close by to the rooms and each floor has around 12 to 15 rooms and 3 to 4 washrooms which makes it not that crowded.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and alumni are very helpful. They add you in groups and tell you about thier experiences and offers that can help you in deciding what you want later on. They give thier study material and tell you exactly where you can score and do well.

Admission

I got in through SAT 2 which is an exam for NRI students. I opted for this course because I wanted to do something in construction management and hence, civil engineering and I wanted to finish my B.Tech in India. First you apply with your SAT score and preference of NIT and there are 4 rounds after which you will know which NIT you have been given according to your score and choice. It starts around mid June and ends by July end.

Faculty

4

The lecturers are mostly above 50 years old and have a lot of experience. My course has around 6 to 8 lecturers every semester. They have a good reputation and come from very certified backgrounds. They have graduated from reputed colleges and some of them have been in the same NIT as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course for its relevant subjects and career opportunities. The curriculum provides a good foundation for practical work and higher studies. More practical sessions, updated topics, and industry-based training are needed. Exams are conducted regularly and are moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Companies such as TCS, Wipro and Infosys may visit, offering roles in IT and related fields. Packages vary by company, with average offers around ₹3–5 LPA. Placement percentage is moderate. After graduation, I plan to pursue higher studies and build my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.
