IIM Sambalpur Review

The admission process of IIM Sambalpur consists of CAT examination and shortlisting of candidates for personal appearance (PA) process which consists of Personal Interview (PI). The final selection will be based on the CAT score of the candidates, PA score and profile score including the work experience score as assessed during the PA process and score for Past Academic Performance (PAP).

The MBA program is of 2 years which is divided into six trimesters. The students should go for the summer internship at the end of the first year for a period of 8 to 10 weeks. The courses in the MBA Program is structured around the concept of credits. Each credit represents 10 hours of contact sessions.

The fee structure for the MBA program for the first year is INR 5,41,000. This cost covers the tuition fee, hostel charge, caution deposit, and messes deposit. The same is applicable for the second year. The acceptance fee will be adjusted against the 1st installment fee.

There are cultural and sports committee to lighten the ambience and provide the required interaction between batch mates. IIM Sambalpur has various clubs for the students which include the Bears n Bull Club - Finance club, Consiglio - Consulting Club, Entrepreneurship cell, Emporia - Marketing Club, HRidaya - Human Resource Club, R Squared - IT and Analytics Club, Sigmato - Operations Club and CyberSpark.

The hostel campus is wifi enabled which accommodates mess, 24*7 cafeteria, health centre and gym for the fitness of students. There are three hostel buildings inside the campus out of which two buildings are for boys and one for girls. The rooms are provided on twin sharing basis. The rooms are properly ventilated and well furnished with a bed, almirah, mattress, study tables, and chairs. There is a separate common room where a TV and table tennis facilities are installed.

The objective of the IIM Sambalpur admission is to identify meritorious candidates. The admission process initially begins with the CAT examination and then carried on to shortlisting of candidates for the personal appearance (PA) process which consists of the Personal Interview.
