The reasons are: 1. The college is very near to my house. 2. The fees is affordable. 3. It ranks among the top 10 colleges in West Bengal. 4. My WBJEE rank surpassed the eligibility criteria for my desired course ( BTech in CSE)

In CSE, the syllabus is not that updated with the Industry standard so that's a bit of a problem for the students as we have to opt for online courses to stay updated with the topics that are trending in today's date. Academy of Technology provides decent industrial exposure as compared to other private engineering colleges in West Bengal. So to give some perspective I want to put some additional data. The percentage of students who got placed in CSE is approximately 92% The highest package is around 8.8 Lacs. The average package is around 3.6 Lacs. The lowest package is around 2.8 Lacs. The top recruiting companies are TCS WIPRO COGNIZANT etc. Around 30% students got internship. The top Roles offered in our course are SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, DATA ANALYST, SYSTEM ENGINEERING, DATA SCIENTIST etc. There are three kinds of teachers in our college: a) One who can teach well and can make a topic understand very easily. b) One who try to teach but we can't understand all of the things that he/she is trying to teach. c) One whose voice is so soft that he/she only teaches the first benchers and the others feel neglected.

The top Roles offered in our course are SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, DATA ANALYST, SYSTEM ENGINEERING, DATA SCIENTIST etc. The placement process starts from 6th semester. First the student needs to pass the placement exam and also be eligible for the other criterias offered by the company. After that a stipulated date is given by a company and the students need to come in formals and then the interview takes place the entire day or two. Then the selected students are notified through invitation letter from the company.

There is hardly any extracurricular activities held in the college but the students are allowed to bring their sports entertainment and play. Also there is a gym and taekwondo training that is accessible after college hours.

The classrooms are large and airy but the maintenance work is not that great for which there are many damp walls in many classrooms. Also the classrooms aren't swept regularly. There's no Wifi connection accessible by students. Instead there's NETWORK JAMMER for jamming any devices running on external networks ( used during interviews).

The hostel quality is average with average to good quality rooms but they are not that big. There are 2 beds for 2 roommates. The food quality in the hostel is decent. The canteen's food is really great and cheap. It's of good quality. The main problem is that there aren't many tables and chairs to sit and eat, instead of the students have to stand and eat outside.
