The infrastructure of the college is commendable and the size of the campus is huge as compared to other colleges. The admission in this college is through the jee mains paper 1 entrance exam for the b.tech course. The form is usually out in march. It is very close to the Dwarka sec 14 metro station. The faculty is nice teaching wise but sometimes they show unprofessional behavior. The hostel is also good. The reason I preferred this college was mainly the infrastructure, the faculty, closeness to public transport, and good placements. The website I used to research about this college before admission was collegedunia, Shiksha.
I wanted to go for computer science engineering but I didnt qualify so I chose IT which is 90-95% same as computer science. The faculty is good at teaching wise and their approach to explaining is also nice. The faculty are all m.tech/phd from reputed colleges. Minors are conducted every 1-1-5 months into the semester and majors every semester end. The difficulty level is moderate and one can easily pass by studying a little bit.
Students become eligible for placements in the 7 th semester. Around 25-30 companies visit the campus which includes amazon, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS, etc. the companies made around 300 offers last year. The highest package was 28 lacks offered by amazon. The average package was around 5 lacs. The percentage of students getting placements is 70-75%. I also plan to get a good placement at the university after I complete my degree.
The fee of the college is very nominal. For the first year, you pay around 75 k and 65k for the rest of the years. There are various scholarships you can avail. The list of the scholarships offered is provided on the college’s website.
The annual fest is called “anugoonj” and is conducted every year in the month of February. The tech fest is called” infoxpression” is conducted every year in October. The library has a huge no. Of books and book bank facility is also available. The classroom has a whiteboard, a projector and all rooms are well ventilated. There is a football field, swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, badminton court. Sports practices are conducted after the working hours i.e after 5 pm. Various social groups and clubs are available for the students to join like the publication club, photography club, enactus, and various other tech groups.
At the end of the third students can sit for placements and the fourth year is basically a placement year for all students. All the dream companies come in the college like Google, Amazon, Wipro, Goldman Sachs, Samsung Zomato, etc if you want then you can also it on college website total placement companies with their no. Of offers clearly mentioned over there. The data is different every year and there no. Of offers also vary. 90 percent of the students placed in the college. and remain percent of students will go for further studies or maybe their own start-up and business. My plans after getting the degree are not fixed right now because first I really want to go with the cooperative sector and then somehow will be involved in MNC and the start-up.
Students who have completed their 2nd year and started their 3rd year are eligible for campus internships here. For campus placements, companies start their recruitment while the student has just started their 4th year. Due to the corona pandemic, fewer companies came for placement last year. However, many good companies like Google, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley etc visited for placement and hired students with decent salaries last year. The highest package for last year was 50 lakhs given by Google for the post of Software Developer (SDE) for international posting and for domestic the highest package offered was 35 lakhs by Deloitte for the post of Research Analyst. A total of around 1200 offers were made by all the companies which visited altogether. The average package for Computer Science was 14 lakhs, for ECE it was around 10 lakhs and for the rest of the branches, it was around 6 to 7 lakhs per annum. Around 80 percent of students were placed last year.
Placement drives usually start from September for students who are in the 7th Semester. Currently, no company has come for recruitment in our college because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Also, our seniors who were placed lost their jobs because of the same. Speaking generally Maruti Suzuki is the biggest recruiter in our college, they hire on the basis of test and PI. Sadly most of the companies that come in our college recruit only tool engineers which is another discipline being offered by our college. Although there is very less scope for Mechatronics engineer still we can approach off-campus placements provided our educational record is good.
The placement is awesome. If you have skills you'll get hired with a package above 15lpa. In my branch seniors say, if you take the trouble to learn something, anything, you can expect an average package of 18lpa in the product-based company or 15lpa is a service-based. The highest package you all know goes in crores. If your skills are good definitely you can achieve more. Many students go for higher studies too in IIT itself or in foreign universities. If you wonder now why so, the answer is because the highest qualification in India is "US return". Alumni connections help a lot. Many students go for UPSC preparation too.
Because there were no good colleges left. Moreover it was less distant from my home. And it has a good environment to bunk classes and sit on the ground. It has many faculties in this university so one can roam and hang with different faculty girls as their is a crisis of girls in Btech.
The College is very good in every aspect. It offers you a lot of opportunities in which you want to pursue further. The teachers and senior students are very supportive in nature. You will also take part in extracurricular activities. So it provides overall personality development to the students
I took IIT-JEE and got AIR 284 and so IITD (Electrical engineering ) was the best option for me. I was also getting computer science in Kharagpur but Delhi is where most of my relatives live so I chose Delhi.
Once you crack IIT-JEE it's all simple after that. First you decide which college and course to take and then if you get IITD there is a few days admission process. There you will have to pay the fee and fill some forms and you will be given your hostel and your i-cards, medical book etc.
