Remarks
As I knew some of the seniors from my locality, who had passed out from this college with good results and placements. Also, due to the decent rank, I was getting my favourable subject here, i.e., CSE, which made me feel that this college would be the best choice. The exam was conducted online on 28th July 2020. The results were declared within 2 days. Following which were the counselling and the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
As of now, all the teachers that have taught me seemed quite supportive and helpful. I chose CSE as my subject, as of my keen knack for the subject. The faculty-student ratio is 1:12, which is pretty decent as compared to most other colleges. All the faculties are well qualified. The exams were pretty simple for the ones with regular study of the subject. The ones who didn't study throughout the year found it difficult in the exams.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for it for placements from the end of the 6th semester. Numerous companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Delloite, VM Ware, Adobe, etc. visits KIIT every year. The highest package in 2020 was 30 LPA by Amazon. the average package was 4.2 lacs. KIIT offers 100% placements to its students. I have plans to sit for placements after completing my degree in KIIT.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Total fees including hostel and mess for me will come around 20 lakhs approx. There is the scope of scholarship, however. If a student ranks under 1000, he/she gets 10000 every month as a scholarship for 4 years. For the 1st ranker, KIIT provides his free education. There are many more scholarships available for a student studying at KIIT which can be found on the KIIT website.
Campus Life
KIIT fest is annually celebrated. It is a grand fest with may celebrities as our chief guests. An ample amount of books can be found in the library, which are enough for a student. Classroom Amenity is pretty decent. Sports and extracurricular activities are also taken care of in KIIT. There are also 27 societies, that a student can join, as per his taste.
Hostel Facilities
I live in a non-AC 3 bedded room. It has a common washroom at the extremity of the floor. Meal at the mess is pretty decent. Hostel fees, I feel is pretty affordable at this price. The hostel life is also pretty good. There is always a warden, whom you can reach out to, whenever needed.
