Shobhit Kotiyal's Review On Integral University, Lucknow

It was a happy place. I got my bachelors degree and made new friends who are family now. Life is filled with experiences. This happened to be a great one.

I gave Integral University Entrance Exam. I had given IIT JEE as everyone does, could not clear it hence joined Integral University as it was closest to my home in Lucknow.

Back then in 2006-2010 batch there was no or very little focus on research beyond syllabus. Labs were good in perfect condition during my last two years that is from fifth to the eigth semester I enjoyed performing my experiments in the labs. So I will rate it 7 out of 10.

No internship was provided back then. During our summer internship in the seventh semester final year we arranged for ourselves. I did my summer internship from Shakti Bhawan Lucknow.

Only TCS came during our time from technical end. From functional end Wipro BPO came. TCS selected 24 out of 120 eligible candidates. 6 of my very good friends are still working there and are performing excellent. I got selected for Wipro BPO , Altough I never joined it.

There is an annaual FEST held each year. I hosted in some of them. Also in the convocation ceremony. Many prestigious guests used to visit the campis during our time. Governors of UP and haryana visited in one of my hosting moments, they were the chief guests. In the evening Kafi Azami sir visited our campus.

During our time it was feasible. 52000/- per semester. Now the fee is more than the double what it used to be but I guess thats the case with every college these days. All IITs to NITs to every UPTU college has increased their fee. The private colleges like Amity already had a very high fee structure.

There is a scheme for minorities in which 50% of the fee was waived for the underprivilidged minorities.

It was a happy go lucky place. Everything was cool. There were cricket leagues and all sorts of games were played. Badminton facilities were good. Award ceremonies were held during college fest to facilitate the winners. There are big grounds inside the campus for cricket and football. College backs a nice infrastructute for sports facilities.

Altough I was a day scholar but used to stay in hostel also sometimes with friends. Hostel is good. Food was awesome.The hostel was clean from outside and the floors were also clean. It had a lawn outside, was surrounded by greenry. All and all it was a happy place to be in.

We do chat on social networking sites. Early in my career got career guidence from some of them. Now same is the case when I speak to my juniors. They do ask to apply where or to do which course. I try to get them the best possible solution.

It was OK as of various colleges in UP. Almost the same everywhere. The procters were strict. We had to reach for exam on time. Faculty used to inviglate the exam room. There were two time slots morning and afternoon for the exams to avoid any sort of rush in the campus.

Most of the faculty were pass out of the college itself. That has been the tradition of the college. It is good in many ways. You gell up well with the faculty , also the recent passouts know the pros and cons in the universities functioning. So its a win win situation. Currently two of my batchmates are included in the faculty and I am proud of the way they are performing.
