Mittal School of Business, LPU

Lovely Professional University is one of the best university in the country with its world-class facilities and quality of teaching, it ranks under the top 50 best management colleges of India. Its infrastructure and campus were the main attractions for me to choose this college. The admission process was quite simple. They took admissions in four different phrases. I admitted myself in the third phrase. I just had to upload my documents and make a payment of INR 10,000 to confirm my seat and it was done. This amount of INR 10,000 was later on redeemed in my fees thus no extra charges were collected. I didn't wish to go to any metropolitan city for my UGs but also looked for best facilities too and LPU offered that, Jalandhar is a good and peaceful city and LPU is also a good university thus I preferred it over other colleges. I had deep research about the university on various websites including Collegdunia and Collegedekho, etc.

I am from the Management branch of Lovely Professional University. The name of my college is Mittal School of Business and I am pursuing BBA Hons from here. The faculty members of my branch are very humble people. So helpful and generous. They are always there to listen, guide, understand and motivate us. The LPU Live (a private messenger) is used by every student and faculty to communicate. All of these things have supported the staff and student relationship ratio and is so helpful. Through LPU Live we can communicate to our course instructor anytime, anywhere. They also try to respond to the query as fast as they can. The teachers and professors are well experienced and qualified. Our exams are being conducted twice a semester. And there are two semesters per year.

For a BBA Hons student, it is mandatory to get a year internship by the end of the fourth semester. The internships are provided by the university itself, and they practice on-job training mostly. The famous summer training is also there for students to get practical knowledge. The major roles offered are - HR Manager, Marketing Manager, Analyst etc. HDFC, TCS, Snapdeal, Expressbees, etc, offer internships opportunities to the students.

LPU has a good record of placement. Every year 100% of students get placed in many top corporate giants of INDIA and even abroad. Companies visit the university campus to recruit the best students. Some of them are- HP, HDFC, Mahindra, IBM, Amazon, TATA etc. For BBA Hons, the highest package bagged are 14LPA and the lowest 4.3 LPA. The roles offered are mostly managerial posts. 98% of students get placed here every year. I will continue my higher studies after getting the degree.

Inside the campus, the university offers various opportunities for part-time jobs and entrepreneurship for the students themselves. The Unimall has more than 45 stores which are run by the students themselves. There are many part-time jobs on the campus to earn pocket money. These facilities offer great financial assistance to the students and help them to become a bit independent atleast to pay for their own personal expenses. Apart from this, the LPU s scholarship schemes are so famous. They give scholarship on many basic criteria's and help the students to get the best education in less money! I got a 30% scholarship on my merit.

I don't have much idea about the annual fests as I am from the COVID Batch and haven't yet seen them happening. But yes, virtually they are still conducting many live meetings with the celebrities and many cultural fests too. My most favourite on the campus is COKE STUDIO- obviously. The classrooms and labs are well equipped and up to date. Classrooms are well air conditioned, LPU has many stadiums and theatres for various sports and cultural activities. They support this alot.
