Student review

The first thing that I noticed was that NSEC has an adequate placement percentage. The next thing that I noticed was that the review of this college was good. The admission process was completed through online mode which was pretty easy and due to which I didn't have to visit the college during this pandemic time. Overall I liked this college more than the others.

The course curriculum is good over here. I've always been interested in computers and programming so I chose the CSE branch. All the professors are very understanding. Being Non-Bengali, I didn't face any language problem, professors use to teach us in the English language. There are quizzes conducted about every two weeks which pretty much keep us updated with previous topics.

Placement in our college is good. Among all the branches, the CSE branch has maximum campus placement offers. The highest package was about 12 lakh per annum and the average is about 3-4 lakh per annum. Several companies like TCS, Infosys, Microsoft etc come to our college to hire students. From their 3rd year, students are eligible for campus placements. My plan after getting the degree is to get a job in some company or to continue studying for a higher degree like M.Tech and PhD.

The fees structure of this college is not very high, compared to others colleges we have affordable fees. Plus if there are students who cannot afford to pay the fees, there are several scholarship opportunities that help them pay the fees.

There are several fests organized in our college. Recently there was a fest named Zener organized in our college which was very nicely organized. There is a library in our college which is adequate. There are several books and journals which we can issue to read. Apart from studies and all, we have social groups and clubs like Phoenix which help us students in coding or other activities. Our college has nicely taken care of sports and extracurricular activities.

I got admitted through the WBJEE entrance exam. After getting the result we had to register ourselves for the counselling process which took almost one and a half month. Due to this pandemic situation, everything was held online which I guess was much easier than offline mode.
