I got an FW seat in this college so I opt for Mechanical Engineering Department In this college. Admissions are based on the Marks obtained in UPSEE and also on the basis of JEE Mains. This college has the best faculties and also the labs are well equipped.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Mechanical Engineering because my interest was always in the automobile field and machines. In this college, there is one faculty for 50 students. All faculties are highly qualified and most of them have done their masters from old IIT'S. In our college, we have 3 internal exams with viva. 2 sessional and one Pre University Exam just a few days before End semester exam. Exams are easy and are mostly from the notes given from faculties and from reference books
Internships Opportunities
No internships are offered to students as colleges don't give NOC to third-year students. But summer training is compulsory for all the third-year students and they have to give a proper presentation on the training program and marks are also given for this. But students in a final year get internship opportunities in Infosys, Cognizant etc. These internships are paid.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good for the CS and IT students. All students if CS/IT branch get placed in companies like INFOSYS, TCS, HCL,WIPRO, UNTHINKABLE, etc. The highest package offered was 15 LPA with an average package of 3.5LPA. In core branch-like mechanical and civil, placements are like zero. Most of the mechanical students get placed in IT companies and marketing companies as a business development associates. But most Mechanical and civil students prepare for CAT and GATE exams. I got placed in BANDMA PACKAGING company and also qualifies GATE exam. I'm looking for Mtech admissions.
Fees and Financial Aid
Course fees for all the branches are the same which is 1.44 Lakhs. But I got FW seat in this college so for me my fees were just around 20k per year. Every AKTU college has 6% of total seats as FW seats and students scoring good rank in UPSEE exam can easily get FW seat. Full tuition fees are waived for FW category students. The scholarship is also offered by Samaj Kalyan Vibhag of Uttar Pradesh to those students whose parents' annual income is less than 1 lakh rupees. Under this scheme OBC and Gen category students get 54 thousand rupees whereas SC/ST students get full fees in their aadhar linked bank account. Placements are just average for Mechanical engineering students, most of the students get placed in IT companies with an average package of 3LPA.
Campus Life
Campus life is good because of various technical and non technical societies like Goonj, Oorja, samvej, nirmaan etc. There are also a lot of student chapters that offers free training programs ti students like SPEED. Library is the heart of our college. It is well stocked with thousands of books, journals, magazines etc. It has one digital library too and all the Computers have high-speed internet connection through optical fibers. There are many sports and extracurricular activities like Shaksham, Kalrav, etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good but a little costly which is about 1.2 LPA for 2 seater room. Food is very good here and it has a lot of variety but only veg food is served here. Registrations for the hostel are done at the time of Admissions. Caution money of 12 thousand needs to be deposited for hostel accommodation. First year students get a separate hostel and no seniors are allowed after 9 pm.
Interview Experience
No there's no any group discussion or any type if interview for admission to this college. Admission process is completely online but for document verification students need to visit the college with all required original documents and fees. Fees can be paid online through bank transfer or through DD payable in the name of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College payable at Ghaziabad or Delhi.
