KIIT University is known for its placement and campus life and I am pretty sure the university will not fail to prove these points. You'll have an amazing life at the campus for sure and good people, good faculty, great staff members. College infrastructure is amazing and almost everything is available near the campus. For bad aspect I'll say the placements in core companies (mechanical, civil) is less but this is the problem with almost all private engineering colleges. Go for KIIT if you are willing to join a private university, you won't regret your decision.
I have selected mechanical engineering, obviously because I was interested. Faculty was good and the lab facilities was also amazing. If you are willing to learn there are ample opportunities for you and the faculties will help you with almost everything related to academics.A lot of faculties were available for every subject and they are well qualified M.tech and Phd from various universities,a few are Phd's from foreign universities. Each semester there will be a mid term and an end term exam along with assignments, and lab practical exam. The exams are easy to pass if you have the concepts clear which you can do even a day before the exam. :p
Internships with stipend for Btech students are not there unless you have amazing skills. Without stipend internship are available for which you can go for even off campus. Sales, Marketing It roles are offered from different companies.
after the 6th semester students are eligible for placements and alot of companies starts visiting the campus including Deloitte, Amazon, Infosys, Accenture, Tata steel, Honda and many more. Highest package is somewhere around 12 lakhs and the average package is 3.5-4 lakhs. The number of companies for core mechanical and civil engineers is less but if you want to go in IT companies a lot of opportunities will be there.I have received offer from tech mahindra but I've denied and currently pursuing Mtech from IIT hyderabad.
Campus life is amazing and people are friendly and very helpful. There are so many social clubs for almost everything music, dance, painting. Library facilities are good, department libraries and even a central library is available with tons of books. Infrastructure is well equipped with all facilities along with that gym, swimming pool everything is available.
Fee structure is approximately 1,70,00 per semester for B.tech courses apart from this rs1000 per semester as exam fee. The fee includes tuition fee, hostel fee for 3 bedded non ac room and mess fee. Scholarships are provided for 90%+ in 12th board exams apart from this there isn't any other scholarship available. Well you can opt for education loan which is easily available. Regarding the campus placements you will have various opportunities in different companies and I'd say if you have a command on aptitude, reasoning, english and your technical subjects you'll be placed with an average package.
Hostel facility is good even the ac rooms are available. Every hostel has its mess and the food is quite ok. Non veg is also available 4 days a week.Pgs and rented rooms are also available near the campus but you will miss the hostel life which is a bad part. Hostel life without college is nothing.
KITTEE is the entrance exam you will have to attempt for admission and based on the rank you have got in the entrance exam you will go for counselling and branches will be allotted to you. Else there are no GD/PI for selection in Btech courses.
from 6th-semester students typically start preparing for placements, and internships. for placements again kiit is good. amazon, adobe like companies also give placements there, and around 40lac is the highest this year. 100 percent student gets placements if their branch is cse/IT , I will do jobs and preparation for CAT. Placements in kiit are beyond my expectations.
Placements start after 6th semester There are many companies which provide on campus internship even more than that comes in placement season So more than 90% students get placed in NITR if we want to do. And others don't do it may be because of their higher education. I plan to do my job after I get placed.
You can get placement from third year onwards as pre placement offer after internship. There are many companies visiting like Tata, Bajaj, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs and many more. Number of offer depends on you ,many students get 3 to 4 offers also and most probably everyone gets an offer in their last year .Highest package offered was around 42 lakhs in CSE department and average of the college is around 7 lakhs .Microsoft Goldman Sachs gave 3 to 4 Students each around 30 to 35 lacs .More than 92% students got placements. I have planned to join IIT after clearing Gate.
From 7 th semester we are eligible for the campus placements .There are various company visited in our college for every branch . The highest package is more than 10 lakh and many more companys are there for job. After getting the degree it is my aim to work in civil service
