Remarks

I preferred this college as the online surveys depicted that it has a good rank in M.P. and overall good reviews. The campus has very good landscaping which eventually creates a cleaner and healthier environment for the students. Provided with wide classrooms and studios for more proficient learning for the students. There could've been more space included in my department as it is restricted to very few studios and staffrooms. I was admitted through the CLC process in which my NATA scorecard and my diploma mark sheets were required along with the TC and migration certificates. the first and the foremost reason for preferring this college was it being an autonomous govt aided college that accepted the nata score unlike the other Govt. colleges which required a jee score. I visited through the college website itself; MITS, Gwalior.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course as I've already completed my diploma in the same field and hence wanted to pursue the studies further. Also, architecture is an independent field and I have my personal interest as well. the faculties are well qualified and have done with their post graduation in the concerned fields. the exams are conducted in a semester pattern and are usually conducted in a very strict environment leading students to perform higher in their academics regularly.

Placement Experience

2.5

There is no campus placement in the architecture field so one has to start from scratch after graduation. there are unpaid internships and if not underpaid jobs for freshers as people consider contacting builders and contractors at a cheaper rate so it eventually takes away a lot of opportunities from qualified architects. I plan to first gain field experience and then going for my own firm.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees programme for first year is 1 lakh and the following year is 85k/ year. It's unusually a very high amount as for a govt aided institute and I personally was never satisfied with the same. There are no such scholarship programmes apart from the 12 class merit students.

Campus Life

3.5

It's good being in the institute but so far for us archies, the campus life is really hectic and all the fest and functions are conducted by the eng. department students. we so far have prepared for architect's day, teacher's day and NASA. Although there are various clubs one can participate the details are provided on the institute website.

The college has good academic status. Thus does not provide much support for cocarricular activities. college has good area of expansion but location is so remote, thus has less connectivity. The college bus is the main mode of transport of the students.

Overall college life here is good and teclaches us the good and bad aspects of life, They not only teaches us the subjects but also teaches the harsh reality of life. Negative point is that the college has too much of rules and regulations.
