a great college if you're looking for one in rajasthan

SKIT has ranked no. 1 consecutively for the last 4 years among all the rtu colleges. It is in Jaipur which according to me was a good city to study in and was near my hometown. In comparison to other rtu colleges in Jaipur, it has a much better campus. the college campus has hostels too, girls and boys. Although SKIT has had great placements, it is also too focused on studies, so fewer holidays and more classes every day. For admission, there are two ways, merit and entrance, and one has to fill a form-REAP form, including the details of their marks and ranks. There is a list of all colleges under RTU and we can set the preference of the college that we want online just like in josaa and you get the colleges based on your rank and priority. The dates and other processes can be found on the official skit website. I used different websites to check the reviews of this college and I was satisfied, also I had some friends and relatives that suggested me this college.

I am a student of the Computer science engineering branch in SKIT. The placements for cse have been always high in this college. It was one of the factors that made me choose this course. Although the curriculum is a bit old, the faculty is helpful and qualified. the faculty gives much importance to exams and there are 2 mandatory midterms before the end term exam conducted by rtu which has medium difficulty.

the students are eligible for placements at the end of the 5th semester. the placement numbers have been high in the college and many companies including TCS, cognizant, Infosys, etc visited and the highest package was 12lpa.

the fees os 45200 per semester which is a lot more than when I started. the college is increasing the fees and there has been protesting to oppose this but with no result. More about fees is available on the original website(where you can have the recent data). there are various scholarships for students from low income households.

the college has an annual fest-pravah and an annual sports fest-Aaveg. Other than these a big bold donation camp is arranged every year by the NSS club. The library has many books related to the course and for preparation for higher exams. Also, there is a fun reading section and general section. SKIT has a lot of sports activities, including basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, tennis court, badminton court and others with proper courts and ground areas. The students have many opportunities to socialize as many clubs are run by students and all these are available on social media platforms too, to increase the reach.

The hostel has AC rooms(the duct ones) and is shared between two or three students. these are properly ventilated. the hygiene though is not up to the mark. the meal like any other hostel meal has some demerits but there is a 4 meals a day system and a canteen that runs till evening. you can opt for a hostel and pay the fees at the registration time. the fees can be paid in instalments of 31000 The hostel is located inside the college campus and the time in is the biggest issue which is 7 for girls(drops to 5:30 in winters) and 10 for boys. But there are many PGs and rooms and hostels available near the college which are quite good.
