Registration was to be done on the site of Delhi University. Then cut-offs were released for various colleges. In 3rd cut off, I took admission in DRC. Before that, we had to verify our documents so I went to college on admission day and got my documents verified.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I was from the commerce field so, I chose BCom hons and the faculty is well qualified and experienced. Most of the teachers are PhD holders and their way of teaching is quite submissive. Mainly students have only internal assignments and the term exams but our college held mid sem exams too with 50%syllabus that are considered as part of IA marks. It's an average paper as the college has to make it considering all levels of students.
Internships Opportunities
ifortis, The tarzan way ,Qin 1, internshala. Most companies don't pay stipend and even if they pay it's very low. Internshala is a good platform to find internships with your interesting profile. The main roles offered are sales and marketing, operations, content writing, digital content etc.
Placement Experience
5th-semester students become eligible for placements as many companies come for hiring but the job starts only after completion of graduation. The top 4 companies ( Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC)also comes for hiring and many students get placed there and most of the students are from Bcom Hons and Eco Hons. The highest package is 23 LPA by KPMG and the average package is 4 LPA. I am also planning for placement in a good company.
Fees and Financial Aid
We have to submit our fee once a year. For BCom hons it's 16,230 rs exactly. I took a scholarship from the central government by applying on the national scholarship portal under CSSS and I got a 10000 rs scholarship. In 2nd year, I got the same amount though I had to renew it. I worked with one of the companies named to get my pg as the profile of Marketing head and earned around 10000rs as commission in covid time too.
Campus Life
North campus is quite fascinating and it has its own vibes. DRC's annual fest is known as MANJARI which is conducted in the month of February end. In each college, there are no. Of societies most important which will be in nearly every college are placement cell, e-cell , marketing society , dance society, music society etc. The library is quite good and has good no. Of availability of books. In DRC there are mainly 2 games that students go for tournaments are kho-kho and kabaddi. There is soci group named TED-xDRC which has recently established in DRC too.
