Remarks

I had applied for only two colleges, Gargi and DRC. I got into Gargi in the first list but then I wanted to go to a North Campus college only(hype). I am a student from the general category so no quota. The minimum mark for UR for my year was around 95. The admission process as smooth as it was online.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I am pursuing my CA inter exams, as the portion of B.Com Hons is very similar to it, and in many cases, it gives much more to read on specific topics, I chose this course. A lot of our teachers are graduates from SRCC and have dwelled into teaching after some corporate exposure. The teaching quality is satisfactory, but they're willing to help always. In our year, the term examinations are a vague subject, since we have university exams, paper quality is tough. Accounts paper was extremely difficult, other papers were pleasant and went smoothly. To be honest. it is the student's efforts that matter at DRC, teachers will help but we can't depend on them for everything.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are internship opportunities but they aren't very premium-like KPMG or PwC. Small firms may provide unpaid internships, but one should not really hope to get a proper internship course through college. Rather apply from outside college if you're confident about your skills. Like I have already said, you can only get so much with the efforts you put.

Placement Experience

2.5

I don't know much about placements, but people do get placements. However, don't expect placements like SRCC or LSR as DRC isn't that good in that department. My plans after getting a degree are to complete my CA and LLB course and opening my own firm.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm from a well-to-do family, so the fees hike didn't affect me much. But some of my friends found it difficult to pay fees as they were from EWS, but they got scholarships, etc. I didn't go for any internships, but there are a lot of internship opportunities at DRC. The placement society keeps on updating about internships, seminars, webinars, etc.

Campus Life

3.5

2020 didn't let us experience any college life per se, but listening from our seniors DRC has a beautiful and amiable college life. Classrooms, I've heard are underequipped and the infrastructure is failing. The hostel was under renovation for a lot of time so I don't know the current status of it. We do have a flourishing social group and clubs for students. The finance club, Consultancy club, Debate club, Gandhi study circle, women empowerment club, Indian and Western music society, and Political discussion club are all very good. I for one, am a part of the political discussion club, which is beautiful in my opinion( biased but yes). The students make DRC a good place, you just have to find your flock.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.
