Remarks

Yes, I did apply for many other colleges, like Jaipuria University and Amity University. But due to some reason like Jaipuria provided a PGDM course rather than a normal MBA and the fees constraints too one of the reasons. When I got sure about completing my MBA from Lovely Professional University, there was lots of confusion as there were other options like doing a general MBA for the first two trimesters and then selecting a particular specialization or going with the one specialization from the starting. Both have their own perks like studying from the starting will provide you a good conceptual knowledge while in a normal MBA you can get all the knowledge regardless of the specific area and after 2nd trimester i.e. after 6 months you will get the option to select the specialization. As admission was online therefore all the process and document verification was also done online. It was very smooth and the teachers were very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted for MBA-Hons. The difference between general MBA and MBA -Hons is that HON's paper provides you TWO extra perks. One is that you will get a chance to attend more industrial visits which will increase your chance to get placed and the other is the creativity and innovation subject. It is a very interesting subject but if you are attending the master's process completely online then I would suggest you select a general MBA. The faculties here are very supportive (although I hoped that I could get to visit them someday) and also very experienced ones. The classes are fun a well as very informative. Since last year LPU has changed its examination pattern, so now it is a trimester system. Trimesters are of 3 months and we have our final exams after every 3 months with 3 assignment/test-based CA in between the trimester. The questions are between moderate-hard but if you listen to the lectures properly, I guess 80% of the task is already done.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships are very easily crackable here and teachers assist you with lots of preparation. From the start, the students are prepared for the online exams and the interview and Gd process, and very healthy competition is kept between all the students. Also, you have to go through 1 very important project. It helps you clear all the industry-related questions and provides internships on the same. Also, internships are available in almost all sectors.

Placement Experience

3

After the 5th-semester students are eligible to sit for placements Drive. There are lots of companies coming on a daily basis and all the students are given the opportunity to sit for their drives. Although there is a lot of confusion in this online process I guess after one year college will also come up more informative process to convey their message. The highest package offered was 21 lakhs per annum and the average packages range between 5-7 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The most important and beneficial part of going for an MBA in LPU is its fees. The fees are comparatively very low. And those having an aim to complete MBA with the financial crisis and also gaining good experience should surely opt for this. You can check the current fees of all the courses on LPU's official website. Also, there are lot many other perks too. IF you clear the LPUNEST exam( this is the exam conducted by LPU to clarify for MBA) with a good percentage you will be given many scholarships. I got a scholarship of 30%. The highest goes up to 45%. Having good marks in graduation will also provide you the opportunity for scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Due to the pandemic, I was not able to join the college. But the fun part of the college was not yet over. As soon as students settle in their courses, they must start joining clubs. There are clubs for all streams be it finance or cultural. The seniors and the teachers are very helpful and interact very frequently so that we could get to know each other and increase our friendship. Every week one of the clubs has to organize an event for all the students and everyone participates also. We have lots of Masti there too.

Interview Experience

4

I had to appear for an online test that was LPUNEST. All those students who get the chance for having scholarships are selected just by clearing that % criterion. So I was selected after the test itself, therefore I did not sit for any Interview or Group Discussion. After my selection, I was provided with my personal administrator officer, who helped complete my forms filling and document submission and the dates for the submission were also very liberal. For preparing for LPUNEST I studied basics aptitude questions and chapters, basic English grammar, and reasoning. I also updated myself with current news.

Remarks:

I completed my BBA from CU and really liked this university because of it's amazing infrastructure and the kind of high level education and practical skills they were providing. It was already decided that I wanted to pursue an MBA program in the long run. I took CAT and was able to score as per CU criteria and I was an alumni of this college only so I was given preference, although the admission was done on merit basis. I also had to pay INR 1000 as the application fee while applying through the official website of the university.

I did my masters from Punjab Institute of Management and Technology and the level of education I got from the college was impeccable. It made me capable enough to successfully start and run and expand my business. I would definitely recommend my college for the sole reason of its precious academics and the supportive faculty. Though the campus life and extracurricular activities are also refreshing and memorable.

I think that our college is good an average. The fees are a bit expensive but feasible and they refund me the concession money for the semester and the hostel fees. I had fun with my friends and classmates too.
