Remarks
After spending 2 years of my academic life in this college, has turned me towards my ambitions and healed me from my weaknesses. The decisions and other academic based criteria in every semester are approved in a well-planned manner. According to my, the admission process here is done in a very simple way based on the student class 10 and 12 final board results.A student with minimum marks of 65-70% can get eligibility to study computer science as I had got that chance to learn where I had scored 75% in my 12 boards. You can only admit yourselves after the 12th pass. For admission procedure you may require some of this personal documentations like - 1)Admit card of class 10, 2)Result of class 10 and 12, 3)Migration certificate, 4)Aadhar card/(any other ID proof), 5)Passport size photo of your and your guardian. For every student, our college can provide you with an admission executive who can guide you in further admission procedures.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I am an aspirant of holding my career as a computer science engineer and trying to knowledge myself with it, so for that reason, I am too much geek with this course. After spending 2 years of my academic life I have engrossed myself with this programme. I have no clear idea of the faculty: student ratio but still I can say it is vast and helping hand. The teaching method of our department is well planned and understandable. But due to this current Covid -19, a pandemic situation made us leaving out the campus for a while, but still, the academic sessions are ongoing in online classes. Switching from offline mode to direct online mode made us think difficult but then our college made it stable where they arranged the regular classes with the same teaching strategy as well as virtual labs where we can simulate the practicals. There is always a periodical test for all subject of about 20 marks and the end semesters exams of 70 marks and 30 marks for practicals.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am in BTech (CSE), so my fees structure is INR 3,28,600 for my whole course and INR 9800 per year. As well there are library caution money and college caution money that is already taken during the admission time and get refunded when you graduate.
Campus Life
In fact, I am from the 2019 batch and our college organised many annual fest and tech fest during April 2020. But unluckily when our PM announced lockdown then all our fests got cancelled and then also they arranged many online cultural activities and debate competitions. Before that, the first year students are welcomed by whole college seniors with a wonderful fresher party. More than this our college has its own magazine where every one of us tends to publish new poetries, suspicious stories, drawings and photographs taken by students. Other than studies, Under the college consultant, many of our seniors arrange both indoor and outdoor tournaments for all year students. Sports like cricket, badminton, volleyball, football, carrom and other online games. We have social clubs where we can participate ourselves in tech club and communication club. In fact, it is mandatory to involve yourself with any social activities, games or webinar to increase the activity points by at least 100.
Hostel Facilities
I live in 2-bedded room and it costs me INR 8500 including canteen fees and hostel fees. The 2-bed room is ok to live in but quite small for two members. After every six months, we have to pay the fees else we have to give a fine for late. The meal quality of the canteen is quite good and Bengali type, they cook non-veg every day except on Thursday. In lunch they make both fish curry and boiled egg out of which you can take anyone, else you can buy it from the counter. During Sundays, they make chicken for lunch as well as for dinner. Out of this, morning breakfast and evening snacks are perfect and weightless. Also with this, certain timings are allocated for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner within that we have to consume it. For hostel registration, you require ID proof and a passport size photo.
