Brief review of TDB College

I had not applied to other colleges. I have only applied for Tdb college because it has top-class faculties all over Bengal and the cost to study is quite cheaper. The admission was totally based on the performance of your board marks. You can apply both online and offline and the college provides the merit list on its official website where you can check the list of selected students. My selection was totally based on the merit list. My name was not there during the release of the 1st merit list but after the release of the 2nd merit list i got selected and I chose to take my admission as soon as possible.

I have chosen this course because studying Political Science enables one to deepen his/ her understanding of the policies and laws of the land. Apart from the fact that a political science degree holder has a lot of opportunities in terms of employment, they can also pursue a bright career if they opt for higher studies. The political science department has almost more than 500 students and the number of teachers is 40 so the student to faculty ratio becomes approximately 1:12 which also plays a very important role in student-teacher interaction. Faculties are highly qualified and their teaching methods are unmatchable.

The cost to study is not much high. Most of the students are able to pay their fees easily and the college also provides loans to the students who are in need or facing some kind of financial crisis. The college has also organized some Scholarship schemes for needy students based on their academic performance.

Our college organizes an annual fest each and every year. And it is one of the most popular annual fests in Paschim Bardhaman where popular artists from all over Bengal are invited. Top leaders from the Asansol district and police VIP personnel are also invited to inaugurate the program and a prize distribution ceremony is also organized where they hand over the prizes to the top alumni of our college. The classrooms in our college are very large so that they can easily accomodate more than 100 students easily. The classrooms are also very spacious with proper lightings and ventilation and most of them are fitted with smartboards. Several cocial clubs like cultural clubs , art Clubs , Sports clubs ,etc. are run by the students which provides opportunities to students to promote their talents.
