Netaji Subhash Chandra Engineering College is one of the topmost engineering colleges in overall eastern India. For the past few years, it has produced hundreds of alumni famous for their research articles and their remarkable achievements. NSCE also provides thousands of on-campus internship opportunities to the students by inviting big companies. The college also has a beautiful campus, several technical clubs, and is famously known as the innovation hub of eastern India.The admission criteria are quite simple. You must require a minimum of 65% in boards and must have subjects like physics, chemistry, and mathematics if you take admission in Btech engineering and for other courses like BCA, BBA if you had any of the streams like science, commerce, and arts. You can easily take admission. I have got admission to this college through my JEE MAINS rank. The admission process was quite good and the college authority was very cooperative.

I chose Information Technology because it focuses on the application of computers and computer software to manage information systems to meet the needs of industry and government. The development, management, and maintenance of Information Technology systems are key competitive factors that are essential for getting success in todays's world. The student to faculty ratio in our Information Technology department is nearly 1:16 The exams are conducted every month by the college and during the end of the semester, the final exams are conducted by the university. Most of the subjects are easy to pass and the question paper is set based on your thinking and solving ability. The final question paper set by the university is quite easy. So that every student passes their semester with a good CGPA.

Our college is far ahead of other colleges when it comes to internship opportunities. Both government and private organizations visit our colleges and provide thousands of internship opportunities. Space agencies like ISRO, Astrodome, and Defence agencies like HAL, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) officials also visit our college to recruit young minds and helps them explore the latest technologies used and gain experience.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6 th semester. Several national and multinational companies like WEBEL , HCL, INFOSYSTEMS, MICRO PRO,BYJUS, CMC, EASTERN RAILWAY, METRO RAILWAY, HALDIA PETROCHEMICAL, and many more. The highest package offered is by BYJUS for the post of 'Back End Developer' and had offered a salary of 18 lakh per annum and the lowest package offered is 4.5 lakhs per annum. Our department has a higher number of placements as compared to other departments. Nearly 90% of the IT department students are successful in getting a placement.

The fee structure of our college is quite decent. It charges INR 85500 per annum for all the (Btech) Engineering courses. INR 45000 PA for BCA and MCA courses and INR 25000 PA for Mtech and other higher studies courses. So, overall the fees is quite low and students also claim that the fees of our college is much lesser than other colleges offering the same courses. If you want to get study loan, you have to first write an application alongwith your Id proof and submit it to the college principal and if your application gets approval you can get a loan from the bank the college has partnered with. You can also get a pert time job in our college as a junior librarian or junior lab assistant. So , inorder to get a part time job you must be a 2nd year student and must be good in academics too.

Our college has a modern library, equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of online databases, books, journals, and reports, etc. The library is well known for using LIBSYS, an integrated library management software package with all the modules for automated library operations. Netaji Subhash Engineering College is one of the prodigal institutions of technical studies in West Bengal which harvests the fundamental facilities of students' life. One of its integral components is sports activities. Throughout the year our college conducts a series of indoor and outdoor sports events (both inter and intra scale) like football, cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, and so on. Our college has a renowned club, generally known as the Eco-Cultural Club run by the students. The club aims to organize seminars, educational workshops, and environment safety workshops, seminars, and programs for the welfare of students.
