Entrance Preview

I took TN entrance exam but the entrance was not counted and I got direct admission to college after its own entrance where I scored 75% approximately.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is from Anna university that time. Only after I passed out it became autonomous. Syllabus is more of theory with less focus to research activities. Exams were more difficult as questions are set by Anna university and evaluation will be also by outside teachers. It is a standard set of syllabus and there is no focus for research in that.

Internships Opportunities

It has no specific internship except the implant training opportunities where we visited and studied about some big companies related to our course. I got opportunity to visit some power plants and railways unit. But there was no stipend for those visits.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is the very good thing here and that is the main reason for choosing this college. They give rigourous training and do the maximum to get the students placed. But after getting in one company we are not allowed to attend further interviews.

College Events

3

College annual day and sports day every year is very good and enjoyable. March pasts preparation start one month before for independence day and republic day celebrations which is very good. Yearly technical symposiums are there and tech exhibitions where we can show our mini projects to outside students and public is also good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is a bit expensive but it is almost same as most of the other self financing engineering colleges. If you manage to get scholarships then its ok. I paid 55000 in total as annual fees excluding hostel during first year and 53 in consequent years. Hostel fees is 6000 per year for rooms and mess bill 1500 on average per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

We can get loan from banks but that is not through college. One option that they provided is we can pay fees in 2 or 3 installments. They arranged scholarship to some students from agricultural family.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I must say that hostel is the only negative experience I had there. I turned as day scholar after 2 years because of the food and too much of restrictions inside. They have study time at night till 10 and students were not allowed to use mobile phones inside. I am not sure on the current rules.

Exam Structure

They conduct frequent unit tests so we feel exhausted of studying. To get internal mark from college, final internals were there and students who fail in that have to write retests for that again which makes students life too hectic. But ultimately it helps to clear and score good in university final exam.

Admission

It was direct admission in management and not through counselling. There was a separate entrance after that. It was a direct meeting with college principal, secretary and some other board members along with my parents. After confirmation from management, I got letter and call from the college regarding the date of join, fees, hostel and other procedures.

Faculty

3.5

Most faculties had good knowledge on subjects but a few were lagging in teaching skills where they did not take classes interesting and missed to deliver what they knew. There were also extraordinarily good teachers because of whom we could become what we are today. They had strong knowledge as well as good teaching skills blended together.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
