I got admission through PGCET examination in 2015. My score was 33. I have chosen this college because the only college that offers course in Cryogenic Engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is designed by Gujarat Technological University. Aim of each subject syllabus is focused towards the application and practical knowledge. In Each subject, students have to prepare one open ended problem (OEP) which includes to find out latest research in that field. In the final year, students have to complete at least one research project.
Internships Opportunities
AICTE provides the stipend to GATE qualified students monthly for which students have to attend scheduled lectures.
Placement Experience
The placement cell here is very active, we can say it is the No. 1 placement cell in Gujarat. The companies coming to campus offers various package starting from 3 lac PA to 7 lac PA. The companies visited campus in 2016 are listed below Accenture 197 students, Reliance 29 , students L&T - 22 students, Chiripal Ind. Ltd. - 18 students, Cybage - 18 students, Torrent Power - 16 students.
College Events
TECHFEST- technical festival of the college. In this event, students from the various college participates in the event and awarded certificate to winners. In this event, there are various events in festival in each field of engineering. SANCHAY- Traditional event in this event, students from various colleges participates in Natak, Singing, Drama, Dance etc.
Hostel Facilities
The college has very good hostel facility in the college campus. According to the design of room, there may be 2 or 3 sharing rooms. There are three mess active in hostel building.
Exam Structure
The Exam structure is designed by Gujarat Technological University. The examination pattern is such that it focuses on various aspects of the subject. It has external examination - 70 marks mid semester examination - 30 marks. Practical examination - 30 marks, viva examination, marks of attendance, marks of journal prepared- 20 marks.
Admission
The admission process was through ACPC ( Admission committee for professional courses). The notification of PGCET exam was released in June 2015. Based on the score of PGCET exam, Merit list was created by ACPC. After that they started admission process base on the merit.
Faculty
The faculties of the college are very experienced and are having very good knowledge in the field. They are always ready to help students at their best. They also guides students during the research work. Also they provides external reverences and various useful information.
