CET, I got 10000 Rank in that test. I opt for this college because I thought it is near by Chandigarh.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was not good at all. But, it is same in every college. None of them talk about practical work or experiments or new ideas. All they talk about is passing the exams somehow or get the good percentage for future benefits. But once you get out of college and go for your first Interview, there you get the real picture.

Placement Experience

You do not get any opportunities so you really do not need to worry about that. They call a lot of companies for the placement but either those are Call Centres (BPO) or those are there just to give you offer letter. But once you get passed out from the college, they never gonna give you joining. They keeps on giving you lame excuses.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well there was no scholarship or loan facility available as I am aware of. Yes, if you are in the first five toppers of the University then, University is going to pay you scholarship and that would be only for University fee. You still need to pay for hostel and for transport.

Admission

I gave an entrance exam i.e. CET. I got approx. 10000 Rank in that test. Then, I appeared in counselling of Punjab Technical Uni. Which held at Jalandhar city of Punjab. A lot of students who appeared in the exams were there according to there Rank.

An honest look at campus

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

SLIET longowal has well structured curriculum as per new education policy with well structured labs. to prepare for real world, college provide funds for startup and also motivate students to gain industry exposure. Many improvements can be done in curriculum like integration of cutting edge technologies, smart board, digital labs. There are three exams per semester two minors which take place in month of august and september and major or end sem exam in month of october, the timing of exam was from 1 pm to 4 pm. the difficulty level of exam is moderate

Placements in lovely professional university is decent and dont know much about it as i am in 1st year only but there were mandatory Placement classes for all which you need to select in 1st year only for which you need to pay extra 20k for the classes.

Remarks:

Good staff are very nice and supportive nature. There are not any faculty problem. Functions are organized in a very large scale which is very good. Ragging are strictly banned in college which is very good for fresher students. BAD: lack of equipment and machines in labs. Lack of practical knowledge for students.

Always Work Hard

Getting admitted was easy enough. Not a very hard process. All the details regarding the application form, fees, and dates are available online if you enter the name of the college in google.
