Review of AKGEC (Ghaziabad)

The admission process was really simple firstly we need to appear in upsee exam through which we can apply for college counseling and if the rank is enough for any college and branch a seat in that college will be allotted. Minimum marks change every year. Then further admission process and document work are done in college itself within a single day. So no issues in the admission process.

One of the pros of AKGEC is class strength is less i.e. nearly 65 to 70 so the faculty to student ratio is really nice. Faculty are well educated and study nicely. The teaching method is subjective some may like it and others may not but according to me, they teach nicely. Exams and tests happen frequently and it's not too hard to clear those exams.

Internships are also offered by many companies on the campus with an average stipend of 10000 to 15000 per month varies depending upon the company and role. Projects are also assigned by faculty and they also help in completing the projects and provide assistance which is really nice.

Campus placement is also good. Almost everyone is placed from the CSE branch with an average package of 6 to 7 lakhs per annum and the highest package on campus goes as high as 15 lakhs per annum. College provides good assistance for placement as well. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc visit every year for placement. It is sometimes mandatory to have an average percentage of 75 to 80 percent minimum for sitting in the placement of some companies depending upon the recruitment criteria of that company.

Fees of the institute are on average side as compared to other private institutions neither too high nor too low. Fees hikes every year but there hasn't been any hike in the last 2 years due to the covid situation. Scholarships are also provided by the university and they solely depend only on the financial condition of the family.

The infrastructure of the campus is really good. A spacious campus with an abundance of greenery is the main pros of campus. When it comes to classrooms these are their style with proper ventilation, lighting, speakers for lectures, smart boards, and projectors. The library is huge with more than 10000 physical books and a large no of Ebooks support is also available in the library. The campus also has sports facilities like a badminton court, basketball court, volleyball court, cricket ground, etc and sports events also occur every year so there are also enough opportunities for sports lovers. There are also many societies and clubs for students and by students in both cultural and technical domains. The only downside is there is no annual cultural fest in the college but many cultural events happen much time in the year.

Hostel rooms are also spacious and airy, hostels are nice and clean with lift facility, Mess food is average not soo good but also not that bad. Registration is very simple and can be done during admission time or also after that. The only downside is the washroom is common and hostel charges are a bit on the higher side and scholarship also doesn't cover hostel accommodation charges.
