SKIT Jaipur, B.Tech, Electrical Engineering

Reviewed on Jul 24, 2021(Enrolled 2020)

Remarks

Hello, I am pulkit , pursuing my Btech from swami keshwanand institute of technology, management, and gramothan , Jaipur. I had taken my admission in 2020 by the process of REAP. I choose this college because it is no. 1 private engineering college in rajasthan comes under RTU. In this college, admission is done through REAP, JEE MAINS, DIPLOMA, etc. There is no minimum criteria of marks but mostly (~85%) students are intelligent. Due to this code - 19 pandemic, my counseling held online . Otherway councelling is done by face to face meeting. All over i can say that SKIT college is better than other privates colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I pursuing mt btech from Electrical branch from SKIT college . I choose this branch because it helps us in civil services as a core branch. There is well educated faculty .Mostly teachers have post gratuated or Phd holders. So faculty are good . Student teacher ratio is approx 1:50. This is small mistake by college.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Many internship are done by other companies in college. But mostly focused on software based internship. The one most famous company is intershala . And many more others . Programing , IT sector internship are very helpful in skill development as well as placements.

Placement Experience

2.5

From 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. A lot of opportunities is given by companies and firms to all branches of students. In my mind, the highest package of our college student is about 15lakh per annum. Average package is about 5 to 7 lakh per annum. For sitting in placement , no back condition required.

Fees and Financial Aid

SKIT Is RTU based college, so fees is similar to all other RTU colleges. Approx 1 lakh 10 thousand per year . Many scholorship opportunity are also given from the college side. Other engineering-based scholarships are also given. Many MNCs campus here to take good students.

Campus Life

The annual fest of our college SKIT is "PRAVAAH". its very amazing, this program runs continue 4 days. A big library are present 8n the basement of college campus . A lot of books arw present in this library. Many clubs approx 30 are run by senior students, those take part in ECA .

Likes

I like my college because it has a friendly environment and helpful teachers. The classrooms are clean, and the library is useful for studying. I enjoy spending time with my friends. My college provides good education and encourages students to part

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as very good. It covers important topics and provides useful theoretical and practical knowledge. The syllabus is relevant to our field of study and helps develop our skills. However, including more practical sessions and industry-related topics would make the curriculum even better.

the class timings are really flexible that is maximum 5 hours in a day
there are a lot of fun events in college every other day
the male to female ratio is approx 1:1 and both genders jam well with each other

Dislikes

the money factor i would say is one thing which doesnt add up if placements are considered
the freedom provided here might not be the best for everyone u need to have self control over yourself
people here can get too entitled and the pda inside might bother you but you will find your people

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirriculum is designed in a way such that most of the outdated and uselss things are removed this year and the labs of each subjects help you well enough to dive deeper into the application of the subject . some areas for improvement can be removing unnecessary subjects like manufacturing process for cse students . main exams are held every 3 months and the difficulty is moderate

Friendly Teachers - treat you warmly and respectfully.
No severe Attendance Criteria or Extra marks deduction.
Many Seminars included throughout the course.

Dislikes

Architectural issues, building without repairs and many damages, no parks or playground for sports and activities.
Damaged computers and conjusted computer labs.
Need to revise the syllabus for CSE/IT as it is not keeping up with current tech.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum includes lab works, workshops and seminars. Which influence the choice to choose the course. But they are lacking to get hands on experience. Though they are guest lectures and seminar which is highly beneficial. Need to provide report on summer internship, industrial training, which is mandatory according to curriculum. Which helps in gaining hands on real life skills. But students still pass this barrier using fake certification and copied reports. And faculty is not strict about this. I believe the latest technologies which is not integrated in curriculum like AI/ ML ,recent frameworks , even if integrated not taughtd in depth. Like we have subjects AI , ML but no practical learning. Assignment are huge burden with little learning we need assessment that tests understanding rather than memorization. More subjects needed on softs skills especially in last year during placement season. Live project with company as all student are not able to land good internships. Frequency of exams like midterm( 2 in 3-4 months) ,practical( at the end of semester just after 2 nd midterm exam). End semester exams - 10-20 days after practical exams.

Quality of infrastructure is like a Nit as they focus on giving best building and infrastructure with good curriculum too. Advanced technologies and amenities are awesome.
Course curriculum is relevant and rigorous practice of real world applications problem helps in cracking big company's interview

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because here the course is relevant and infrastructure is good also they give scholarship to study here . Curriculum helps very well in improving real world applications in day to day life . Teaching methods are impressive but some times it looks like a burden as they give load to students in improving themselves so this thing they should improve . Timing of the exams are of 3 hours . Their exam pattern is like other government college but they take exam strictly. Difficulty level is medium level .

I applied for college like LMNIIT Jaipur,BIT jaipur. But I didn't take admission there because the fee of these college is too high .i cant afford it.i also applied purnima college and jecrc foundation, but everyone says that skit is much better than purnima and jecrc in education or placement also.skit is good for those students who want to do something. It is strict college it is good for students. In admissions you first give jee mains paper. Then you applied in REAP it same as joosa counselling in REAP you get reap rank .then according too reap rank you get college. Reap rank is depent your jee main rand and class 12 pcm percentage. If someone doesn't give jee main he can applied for REAP . But first preference is give to rhe student who give jee main .cutoff is based on reap rank .i can give you rough ide that i get 94000 rank in jee main 2024 and 88.60 percentage in12 my pcm percentage is 96.i get 751 open reap rank and 250 obc rank....Read More

Our college is on 1st rank in rajasthan technical university's ranking criteria. This was the main reason why i selected this college. Other than that the placements are good enough for every branch. My admission criteria was from REAP. I applied in REAP and according to my priority SKIT was first and JECRC foundation was second. They also check JEE ranks and 10th plus 12th class percentage and allot the branch as per ypur performance....Read More
