Remarks

M.Tech program specifies to build software system. It identifies the issue to protect cyber law. B.Tech or BE degree or UG degree in any other stream get preference for admisson. 6.5 CGPA, GATE exam score and PI etc are necessary things to acquire the course.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course of 4 semesters contain total 79 credits. Summer internship comes after the completion of the first year. Students have to submit project work at the last semester. Dr. Madhumurti, Dr. Prakasa Rao and other faculty members brighten the institute's prestige.

The institute has special cell for career planning and development. The section assists the department in placement of the students at big industry. The highest package of Rs 51.5 LPA with 800 students was the statistics of the last year placement. Top recruiting sectors were - Banking, Education and Software. Fee Structure And Facilities

Students who qualify with the institute's announced cutoff for GATE exam, can avail the stipend of Rs 12,400 per month to pursue M.Tech course. The amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the students. Kotak Mahindra Bank pays educational loan for this institute.

Placement Experience:

To be frank enough the placement of IIT is very excellent. Not only did the industrial leader visit the campus but IIT Hyderabad also promotes start-ups to take part in the recruitment drive. That gives us an opportunity to be part of a startups group. Companies like Accenture Japan, Google, Microsoft, MTX, Rakuten, TSMC, Tech Mahindra visit the campus. The highest placement package during our batch was 55 LPA from Google and the average package was around 17.50 LPA

Research wise not that great, the curriculum is more oriented towards the industry needs, and the funding for research is very less from the government compared to other big institutions in the country

Remarks:

I heard they always force the students to pay the fees in time. Some times we feel egoistic, aggressive behavior among the students and lectures. In case of any adhoc work or when lectures doesn't responds in time for days together we will see impatience between the students and management. During our period, couple of lectures are changed because they are not able to co-operate with the students.
