Remarks
The counselling was happened in anna university. The criteria requires cutoff marks calculated from math, physics , chemistry and only based on that cutoff marks, the colleges are assigned. We will be given State wise rank, and when our rank is called, we have the opportunity to choose what college we want from the remaining colleges left at that time. Same goes with the course. No college conducts any pi or gd or any entrance exams at that time. Even now, there's nothing like that. I got my seat with OBC quota.
Course Curriculum Overview
I did chose this college, because of its excellence in teaching and good placements they provide. Panimalar engineering college is famous for computer science department and it did justice to it. The students, staff ratio will be 20:1 . The faculties are well qualified and very good in teaching and has very brief knowledge in their areas of expertise respectively. The semester exams are once in 6 months and cycle test happens every month once respectively.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to attend interviews in their final year of college. Campus interviews takes place from starting of the 7th semester and will be conducted till graduation of students by a large variety of companies including Infosys, CTS, wipro, Accenture, Tcs, kaar technology, LTI, tech Mahindra, avasoft, etc. Software jobs are provided in a high range in this college and about 90% of students who got no arrears are placed before finishing the college in campus placements respectively. The package offered by companies ranges from 2.4LPA being the lowest to 6.5LPA being the highest for the year 2021 respectively.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is structured into five major parts, which are tution fee, bus fee, mess fee and industrial visit and tour fee. The total fees including all these will come around one lakh twenty five thousand rupees respectively. First year students alone will be charged twenty five thousand rupees extra other than these fees and the fee is named as miscellaneous fee which is once collected during our first year. Christian people and first time graduates will get scholarships from the college. No other scholarships are provided.
Campus Life
There's only one fest conducted every year, named as college day which is more likely the so called cultural day in other colleges. This will be carried out by the college itself and students will be the participants to participate in different events in this college day, like singing, dancing, etc. Other than this, there's no social groups, no clubs, no symposiums or workshops in this college. Class rooms are having a very good infrastructure and the libraries are very huge and consists of a large range of books available and is fully air conditioned.
